The Beginning of an Adventure Empty The Beginning of an Adventure

Post by Tenjinsai Bushinji Sun Feb 02, 2014 3:17 pm

The young man stood before the large gates of the Shinoreijutsuin or Spiritual Arts Academy. It was the school where young promising souls went to fulfill their dreams of becoming a shinigami. Granted, not everyone could make it through even the entrance exams. Only the most talented individuals would be granted entrance to the academy to have a chance at becoming a shinigami. It had a great deal of history behind it dating back to even before the founding of the Gotei Thirteen itself. It was obvious as well how old it was by the arcitecture that the building held. It was not as sleek or well designed as the buildings of the Seireitei. Still, it stood tall and proud and was a focus of pride for any soul that found acceptance there as well as the shinigami that graduated from the esteemed academy. The building was rather large and the land on which it was placed even larger. It housed many buildings that were used as classrooms, dojos, and training fields. It taught the souls that managed to pass the entrance exams in the four arts that were the pillars of the shinigami's combat abilities. The first, and what was deemed the most important, was Zanjutsu; it was the art of training with ones zanpaktou. It was essentially the type of swordsmanship that shinigami were trained in. However you were also taught about what ones zanpaktou was and how they functioned. There was a great deal of history even behind something as simple as an asauchi. The next art was Hakuda, which was the hand to hand combat art that shinigami were taught. It was composed of full body contact fighting that used every available portion of ones body as a weapon. In the hands of a master the fighting style could be incredibly dangerous, especially if the individual possessed a large quantity of reiryoku at their disposal. With lightning fast movements and powerful strikes Hakuda could easily become a force to be reckoned with and be as deadly as fighting with a blade.

Next was the art of Hohou, the movement techniques that were taught to shinigami. It was one of the roundabout areas of the shinigami studies. It was essentially one learning footwork and went hand in hand with Zanjutsu and Hakuda. They would teach one to increase their agility and footwork so they would become more proficient at avoiding strikes. Though the teaching itself was simple it was a vital part of any shinigamis studies and as such was an important part of the teachings at the academy. Also included in that, for the most advanced students, shunpou could be learned. It was a high movement speed technique that was used by the shinigami to move faster then one could on foot. It essentially allowed one to move faster then the eye could follow; and when mastered to a higher level could permit the user to cover a massive distance in the blink of an eye. It was truly a powerful technique to have in ones repertoire, it was practically essential. But finally there was the last, but not least, art of the shinigami; Kidou. It was a mastery of ones reiryoku to a different extent. It allowed one to use their raw reiryoku as energy for powerful attacks based out of ones spiritual energy. There were a variety of techniques one could learn of varying difficulty and strength. The more talented one was in the art and the more they learned, the stronger techniques that they could learn. A true master of the art that had learned the full extent of Kidou were said to be incredibly powerful and have access to techniques that could level neighbourhoods with a single blast. The power to destroy on a massive level, a truly frightening thought if the power was to be found in the wrong hands. However, despite how impressive all of these arts were the true feat was to become a master in each of the arts. Those that did tended to become the most talented and reverted shinigami in existence, the Captains of the Gotei Thirteen.

The Captains were the most powerful shinigami in existence and had mastered all of the shinigami arts to an incredibly level. Though not perhaps an actual 'master' in all the arts they had had trained themselves in all of them to a frightening extent. That was ultimately Tenjinsai's goal, to become a Captain of the Gotei Thirteen. He wanted to redeem himself for the sin that he had committed upon entering into this world and let the world see him in a new light. He would become a strong shinigami, a pillar of honor and integrity. That would be how he would redeem himself in the eyes of his family, in the eyes of his father. He would become the greatest shinigami in existence so that his father could look at him and be proud. His first milestone towards that objective was to gain entrance to the shinigami academy. He had marginally trained his abilities while he had been on his own in the rukongai. He had been forced to live a rough life on his own since he was nineteen years old. He had been forced from the estate that his family owned by his father and was told to never return. He had never really been acknowledged as a member of that family either. The only person who was ever really kind to him was his older sister, Amaya. He had been told she was very much like their mother, her kindness and compassion was apparently evidence of that. Though she, like his brother and father could not look at him without thinking of their mother, she still tried to help him. She made life there bareable and kept things between their father and him as calm as possible. Though that usually meant having little to no contact with the man at all. Despite having gone through waht many would consider a horrible upbringing he did not hate his father. He couldn't understand the pain that he must have felt having taken the one that he loved from him. He had never met his mother, though he wished he could have and things had been differently.

But he knew his father was a good man, many people spoke of his benevolence as a powerful and influential shinigami. He was currently the Captain of the Thirteenth Division and had been so since the passing of the previous Captain, Jyuushiro Ukitake. His power was something that was legendary, being one of the most powerful shinigami that was currently within the Gotei Thirteen. He was also well known for keeping a homely attitude within his squad and treating his subordinates with great kindness and compassion. He tended to the plights of his men and pushed them to better themselves. He was also well respected by the other Captains and was well received in most places. Essentially, his father was what he wished to become. It would be a long and arduous road, but he was sure that he could get there. Taking his first steps onto the grounds of the academy he was dazzled by the hustle and bustle of the grounds. Many students moved about heading to their respective classes, huddled into small groups of friends conversing with one another. Tenjinsai's ability to sense was rather weak not having a great deal of training in the arts. His father never like to be around him let alone offer to train him. His brother was the same way, despite not being as cold as his father, had never offered to train him at all in the arts. Putting that aside, he could sense latent power in some of the students around him of varying degrees. Some of them seemed rather strong, others were around his own level of power. He wondered where he would rank amongst the masses. Would be be a powerful student with some sort of natural potential and graduate early. Was he just one of the masses who would have to live their life in obscurity and training their hardest just to make a name for themselves. There would be no way to tell until he was actually exploring his talents. He had to get to the exam hall for the entrance exams today. He could see that it was going to be a crowded reception considering all of the others that he saw in common clothing as well. Anyone who was not dressed in the garbs of the academy was clearly here for the exams.

Many other promising souls who also shared the same ambitions as Tenjinsai. They all wished to become a shinigami for one reason or another. Whether they wanted power, influence, rank, or perhaps their own personal ambitions; they were all here for that one singular goal. Stepping into the exam hall Tenjinsai saw many others like himself sitting upon the varying levels of seating that were in the room. There appeared to be those that had come in groups as well mingling amongst themselves in preparation for the exam. The proctor had not entered the room yet to distribute the exams, most likely waiting for more to arrive before beginning the test. Moving up towards the mid level of the center seating area he took a seat down a few away from a small group of other young souls. There were two males and one female and looked as though they had come from one of the poorer area of the rukongai. They were adorned in rather shabby looking robes that were tattered in places. Their faces had splotches of dirt on them and their hair could use a good cleaning. Granted, he was sure that he didn't exactly look like the cream of the crop either, but his living conditions hadn't been too horrible once he had gotten used to things. The men seemed somewhat, wimpy, if he had to really choose a word for them. It wasn't a particularly nice word but it fit them rather well. They were small and scrawny and the girl that sat between them seemed like she was stronger then either of them. He was saying that from a physical point of view as well which was the strange part. She wasn't overly large either, she was a normal looking female. She appeared to be much shorter then himself by at least half a foot. She was small, very slender, and her body was well accentuated with curves. She wasn't very busty but her body looked quite attractive with what she had. Realizing he had been staring at her for a while now he quickly looked away just as he had gotten her attention with is extended gaze.

He attempted to simply ignore the fact he had just been staring at her and looked down towards the desk where the proctor would sit. He was hoping they would be able to begin the exam soon just to get things underway. Patience wasn't a problem for him but it definitely wasn't his strong suit as well. This was especially true in a situation like this where he was very excited to get things moving along. He wanted to take the exam so he could see if he would pass. He wanted to gain entrance to the exam as soon as possible so he could begin his long road to becoming a shinigami. It was what he wanted most in the world and was eager to get things started. Moments before his anticipation would reach its limits the proctor walked into the exam hall and sat himself down at the front desk. He placed a large stack of papers on the side of the desk as the room grew silent. The man appeared to be rather old most likely having been a teacher for a while. He wore the garb of a teacher which was similar to the academy garb but without the symbols of the academy upon them and instead the Gotei Thirteen. The teachers were all full fledged shinigami that had been asked to teach at the academy due to their talents in, well, teaching. Their proctor had a somewhat long face and was rather thin most likely due to his aging. He had bushy eyebrows and soft eyes that held kindness in them. His eyes were covered by a pair of glasses that were old fashioned and rectangular in shape. He had a small thick mustache that peaked over the left and right sides of his mouth and a small thin beard that fell lightly from the tip of his chin. His hair was short but what he could only describe as, large. It extended upwards for several inches before tufting back down towards his scalp. All of his hair was white as well, another obvious sign of his age beyond his actual appearance. A few moments of silence passed as everyone sat staring down at the proctor wondering what was going to be happening next.

He assumed they would begin the exam soon but it was become rather awkward in the room seeing as nothing had progressed yet. He was sure many were contemplating asking if they would begin the exam soon but nobody had the nerve to actually ask the elderly man. Just as Tenjinsai had bolstered up the courage to stand and ask the mans soft, but booming voice, filled the chamber. "All of you are here today to take the exams to enter the Shinoreijutsuin. I'm sure you all know by now that the exams are very rigorous and only the best will be allowed entrance into the exam. Many of you will not succeed in passing the exam and will be sent away. Some of you will pass and be allowed entrance into the academy and be allowed to attend classes. For a rare few of you as well, you will be placed into the advanced placement group if you show a great deal of potential in the arts. Your knowledge and abilities will reveal where your future will lead you. All I can ask of you young souls is to perform to the best of your abilities." Finishing with his small speech the elderly proctor took up the pile of papers and began to distribute what Tenjinsai presumed to be the exam. In front of each student he placed a small packet of papers that number perhaps ten to fifteen pages and a small sharpened tool to poke out the chosen answer. As the moments passed on Tenjinsai found himself with the proctor before him and having the exam and tool placed before him. He would have to wait until everyone had been given the exam so they could be told to start but he could feel the moment drawing soon. He was eager to begin and prove himself for the skills he possessed. Minutes went by in silence as everyone waited to be given the go ahead for the exam to begin. One by one promising students without an exam faded as the packet of papers started to dot each and every spot in front of the hopeful shinigami.

Finally the exams had been completely passed out and it was time to begin. The proctor slowly made his way back to the front of the room and sat himself down behind the large desk at the head of the hall. "Now, you may all begin your exams. I wish you promising young souls the best of luck." With that the clicking of their pencil like tools against their exams began in large scale. Loud tapping noises echoed throughout the hall as each hopeful made their individual choices that would determine either their successful passing or their failure. Slowly Tenjinsai made his way across the questions answering each and everyone to the best of his ability. Each one had something to do with either the shinigami arts, the history of the Soul Society, and the knowledge of the other spiritual races. Many of the questions would not be known by many people, particularly those pertaining to the other races. Questions were poised about humans, souls, shinigami, and hollows. Those were the races that were publicly acknowledged by the Soul Society. Though, Tenjinsai could say he knew otherwise just from some of the secrets kept in his home. He dare not speak a word of them since he was never meant to know any of them to begin with. If it was made aware to his family that he knew these secrets they would most assuredly not take kindly too it. This was especially true considering they pandered to the leader of the clan, his father. The man had several dark secrets that he kept out of the public eye with only choice members of the family knowing. The only reason he had learned about them was because he had overheard his father and Uncle Hayashi speaking about it. But that was a thought for another time, he had his exam to worry about. He scrolled down the list of questions answering each one as they came along. Certain questions he was very certain of knowing the answer he chose was correct without a second thought. Some of the more basic ones were things like, what was the art used by shinigami that revolved around the use of the zanpaktou for combat. It was obvious that the correct answer was Zanjutsu.

However there were other questions that were rather involved as well that he was questionable about even if he was confident in his answer. Most of the questions pertaining to hollows and humans he had little knowledge of. He had never come in contact with a hollow, or a human for that fact. Humans were only in one realm of existence, the world of the living. It was forbidden for most people to travel there and was essentially an impossibility as well except for the highest ranked individuals. Only people with the rank of Vice Captain or higher could travel to the world of the living on their own authority. The four great noble families could as well seeing as they have their own personal senkaimon in their possession. But anyone other then those select groups were forbidden from travelling there unless given express position from someone of authority. Typically shinigami were sent there on missions or for patrols in a certain sector for periods of time. It was strange for them to ask those who had never been on contact with humans to ask questions about them. Granted, everyone here had once been a human before dying and becoming a soul, but the memories of ones life were never remembered upon dying. It was like starting out fresh with a clean slate and no past to recall. Tenjinsai answered the questions to the best of his ability hoping that he would come out with the correct choice. Only time would tell how he did and hopefully how he did would be well. He drew towards the end of the exam now as he only had a handful left to complete. They were some of the most complex questions he had ever seen that had answers with multiple answers within them. Only the correct series of answers would prove to be right and they were quetsions that he knew little about. The only thing he could do was make an educated guess and hope that he got them right. He was sure that he had passed at least though knowing the majority of what the exams contained. They were all things his sister had taught him while he had been much younger. She had taken to teaching about the soul society and shinigami.

She had always been more of a scholar then a fighter, then her abilities were nothing to dismiss. Amaya preferred not to get involved in combat, another trait he heard she carried from her mother. Her healing skills were incredibly advanced as she was a high ranked officer in the Fourth Division. He was just happy that she had been as kind to him as she had been. He wished his brother had been the same, but Tsunkai very much agreed with the decisions that his father had made. The two were practically joined at the hip considering he was the Third Seat of his fathers squad. Their personalities weren't too much alike though, with Tsunkai begin a great deal more brash and arrogant then their father was. But he had been told that he acted the same way that their father did when he was younger. It made sense to him, which was somewhat amusing to him. But he had also been told that he himself was very much like his father despite their appearances not being too much alike. Sighing out loud, Tenjinsai realized he had just made what was essentially the only noise that had been made the entire time other then a few coughs and sneezes. Being slightly embarrassed he placed his tool and exam done having just completed it. Now the only thing left to do was to wait until everyone else had finished so the proctor could grade their exams. He had a feeling that they may be there a while as he graded each individual exam. This was especially true since each one was composed of roughly two hundred questions. It was going to be a very long and boring day but the anticipation of getting into the academy was more then enough to balance that. Minutes went by as the last few student hopefuls finished up their exams and placed their tool and packet down. Upon seeing that everyone had finished the exam the proctor stood up from behind his desk and went through the rows one by one collecting the exams. "If you would all pass your exams to the ends of your rows it will make the collection easier for me. I will be grading your exams once they are all collected so I would ask you all remain in the hall until I have finished."

Passing his exam off to the right he watched as stacks of paper moved all around the room finding their way to the ends of each row the test takers sat within. It took several minutes for all the exams to be collected but finally they were and the proctor returned to the desk at the head of the hall. One by one the large group of young souls watched the elderly man grade the exams and moved them to either the left or right side of his desk. It was clear that one side was those that passed and one side was those that failed. The only problem was not knowing which one was which. Granted, nobody had any way of knowing which exam was there own so even just watching the placement of the exams offered no sort of relief to getting an answer. Seconds, minutes, hours went by as each exam was individually graded and sorted into one of the two piles. Finally the last exam was being graded and it was clear everyone was getting antsy. They wanted to know if they had passed or failed, gained entrance or would be turned away. It was an incredibly stressful situation that had each and every one of them on the edge of their seats. Gripping the sides of the bottom of his chair tightly in his hands he waited to see which pile he had been sorted into. He just wanted to pass, thats all he wanted to hear. He didn't even care if he had managed to make it into the AP classes, he just wanted to pass. It was the first step towards realizing his dreams and he could help but be anxious. The proctor finally placed the last test into the pile on the left and then slowly stood up from his chair. Placing down the ink brush he had been using to grade them he straightened out his shihakushou and picked up the pile of exams on the right side of his desk. One by one he sorted through the exams and called out names asking each individual to come to the front of the room. Each soul stood up and stepped forward to the front of the room presenting themselves in a line before the proctor. More then half of the group was standing before him and Tenjinsai was starting to get nervous. He was assuming that this group was those that had passed the exam and would be allowed entrance into the academy.

Every moment that went by Tenjinsai's heart would beat a little faster, a little harder, his blood pressure slowly increasing. He could feel himself beginning to sweat as each name called out was not his own. Getting to the final exam on the pile the proctor called out one more name that was not his own. A feeling of despair opened up in the pit of his stomach as he began to think that he had not passed the exams. Had he failed the test despite how sure of himself he was. Perhaps he was not actually cut out to be a shinigami and only thought that he had what it took. He could feel this anxiety welling up through his body as he began to fear that his future was nothing but a black hole that he could not escape. His mind was snapped out of this fear though as he heard the proctor speak only a few simple phrases that reassured him immensely. "Unfortunately for those standing before me you have all failed the exam. I am sorry to have to tell you this but the group before me now will not be admitted into the academy. Please continue to study and learn more so you may attempt to take the exam again. I believe all of you has the potential to become a shinigami, you just need to gain more wisdom first. You are dismissed." The rather large group had a mixed number of responses ranging from uncaring apathy to full blown breakdowns. Several men and women actually broke down into tears as they made their way out of the exam hall most likely having had their hopes and dreams crushed by the news. They would be allowed to take the exam again though, as many times as they wanted in fact. They would just have to learn more and try harder the next time they took it. But still, it must have been rough to be told that you just didn't have what it took to become a shinigami. This was especially true since everyone that was here truly wanted to become one. Twisting his face into a look of contemplation he was pulled out of his thoughts when the proctor began to call out names once more. One by one the young souls moved to the front of the room and presented themselves to the proctor.

It was clear that this group had at the very least passed the exam and Tenjinsai was confident he would be in this group. He was looking forward to having his name called by as the seconds went by he was beginning to grow nervous once again. The pile of exams was growing thin and his name had still not been called out yet. The majority of those that still remained in the room had been called forward with only perhaps a dozen people still seated. Looking about at the others in the room it was clear they were also somewhat disheveled by not having their names called yet either but had some sort of confidence that they hadn't failed. Perhaps they were actually going to be the advanced placement group, the creme de la creme. At least that was what Tenjinsai was hoping would happen. He wasn't sure if he could handle being turned away from the academy or something even worse as he was starting to get paranoid about. Finally the last of the owners of the exams had been called out leaving the small group of a dozen sitting in the large hall. About a third of the original group was now standing before the proctor presenting themselves for their answer. "You have all managed to pass the exam and will be admitted into the Shinoreijutsuin. Congratulations on making your first milestone on the way to becoming a shinigami. You may head to the admissions office to get your class schedules, uniforms, and dorm assignment if you do not have a family to stay with. Dismissed." This group was decidedly more upbeat about their answer considering it was a positive one. They had managed to pass the exam and would be allowed entrance into the academy. They had succeeded in fulfilling the first step of their dream to become a shinigami and would be allowed to take the next step on the path. Granted, there was no guarentee all of them would graduate from the academy but at least they would have the opportunity to try. But still that left the rest of them to face whatever fate had been deemed to them by the proctor.

As soon as the last group that had been graded left the room the proctor turned around and placed his hand over the desk. "Dispel." As soon he spoke those words a stack of exams had appeared in the center of his desk which shocked each of the remaining souls in the room. They had never seen him even hide it let alone knew how he did it. Perhaps this was one of the various kidou spells that the shinigami could learn. Either way, there had to have been a reason that he hid the last stack of exams from the others. Perhaps since they were the only ones left they were indeed the advanced placement group. They were the best of the best having the highest grades amongst the entire group of test takers. This would become all the more apparent as the proctor addressed those who remained in the hall. "You fourteen individuals scored the highest amongst all those that took the exam. You will be moved into the advanced placement group that houses the most talented of the students here. You all have a bright future here at the academy and assuredly the Seireitei. I have no doubt in my mind this group will be great shinigami some day." The small group stood up one by one and moved up to the front of the room and bowed before the proctor for his kind words. They were ecstatic as well having managed to not only pass the exam but also make their way to the advanced placement group. They were the best and apparently had the most potential out of everyone that took the test. He had never thought himself to have particularly great talents in the shinigami arts. Perhaps he just had a great deal of latent potential that was yet to be tapped into? Either way he was happy to accept the gift he had been given and would perform to the best of his ability to fulfill his dreams. After bowing to the proctor the small group began to walk out of the room but Tenjinsai heard his name called out by the proctor. "Tenjinsai Bushinji, could you stay here for just a moment. I would like to speak with you in private." "Of course Sensei." Slightly confused but more then accomodating Tenjinsai separated himself from the group of AP students and moved to the front of the proctors desk.

Once everyone had left the room the elderly man began to speak to him with a surprising familiarity. "Your name, it is one that is well known throughout the Soul Society, especially the Seireitei. Your father is quite the famous individual, as was your grandfather.  I dare say your siblings are starting to make quite a name for themselves as well. Could I assume you will end up doing the same?" Tenjinsai paused for a moment as he took in everything the man had said. It wasn't too startling that he knew who his family was, they were a very famous noble clan that had many of its members dug deep into the ranks of the Gotei Thirteen. The only thing that startled him was that he knew of his grandfather, a man that he, or his siblings, had never met. He had been told his grandfather was around during the founding of the Gotei Thirteen and was the first Captain of the Tenth Division. He had then later been allowed to 'retire' though he had no real idea what that could have meant. He had never met him and the man had never presented himself around the estate while he was there. Perhaps this elderly man was much older then he could have imagined. "Well, I do indeed plan on making something of myself to make my family proud. But, if I may be bold enough to ask, how do you know who my grandfather is? I have never met him myself and neither have my brother or sister." The proctor leaned back in his chair gently and laughed lightly for a moment. "I assumed as much, your father hardly knew the man as well. He had been retired when Tenkai was still just a boy leaving him in the care of your grandmother and later on role model. I was friends with your grandfather when he was still the Captain of Squad Ten. He was a great man and I'm sure still is to this day." This was astounding to Tenjinsai to have met someone who not only knew his grandfather, but had apparently also known his father when he was still very young. He had many questions that he wanted to ask but the most prominent of them was who this man was.

"I'm sorry to be so rude Sensei but, who are you exactly that you know my family so well?" Waving his hand in dismissal the proctor stood up and straightened out his shihakushou once more. "It's quite alright Tenjinsai, I've always been quite open with my students. My name is Jirou Takahashi, I was once a high ranking shinigami in the Kidou Corps when I became a teacher here. Your grandfather and I were good friends during our time in service of the Gotei Thirteen. Once I became a teacher though I eventually ended up serving as your fathers Kidou instructor of which he was quite talented at. I can honestly say as well, by looking at your test scores, you hold even more potential then he does. I must say to not take that comment lightly either considering how prominent of a shinigami your father is. I hope you are quite proud of the abilities you possess." He was stunned once more at the words of his man. He had known his grandfather many many years ago, most likely before his father was ever born. More then that he had served as his fathers kidou instructor when he had attended the academy and even moreso then that had said that he had greater potential as a shinigami then even his father did. How could so much of such a wild nature possibly be true. It was too incredible to believe it all but here he was being faced with it right before his very eyes. Perhaps this was all destined to be to help him along his way to becoming a shinigami. Did the fates want him to truly make a name for himself? One way or another someone was looking out for him and wanted him to truly achieve greatness as a shinigami. "I see, that is quite, incredible. Thank you for your words Takahashi-sensei, its very kind of you to say. I will do my best to live up to my families name as well as the expectations you have of me. I will become a great shinigami one day, even greater then my father. I want him to look at me with pride and call me his son." Putting a hand on the young boys head Takahashi patted the top of his head lightly and then pointed off towards the hallway. "Well off with you now, you have a big change ahead of you. You are formally a member of the Shinoreijutsuin, a student of the academy. I would suggest taking your first day to familiarize yourself with the campus and look at your dorm assignment. Best of luck to you Tenjinsai, I'll see you in kidou class tomorrow."

Waving the young boy off Tenjinsai happily left the exam hall and headed to the admissions hall. He needed to get his official academy uniform, class assignment, and his dorm assignment. He had a lot to get used to but he was so happy that nothing could bother him. He had gotten accepted into the academy and he was as happy as can be. Making his way down the halls he quickly made his way to the admissions office and stepped inside behind a large crowd of other students. Most of them were others that had also passed the exam session that he had just been in. They were all trying to get their necessary papers and uniforms so they could check out their own schedules and dorm themselves. Everyone was eager to get used to their new life in the academy, it was incredibly exciting. One by one the newly dubbed students got their information and uniforms and ran off happily to go and see their new arrangements. This place would be their new home, they would live here, eat here, and learn here. There was really no reason to leave the academy grounds unless one was going with their class to learn elsewhere or was visiting their family outside of the academy. He knew that some people opted out of living at the dorms as well if they had a home to stay at with their family. If he had been welcome at the estate then he most likely would have stayed there instead of the academy and just commuted there everyday. But, unfortunately his father did not particularly enjoy his presence for reasons he knew well enough so he would stay at the academy dorms. He was sure they were suited out well enough for all of the students needs. Perhaps some of the more pampered individuals that came from noble families would have some issues, but they would have to deal with their needs not being completely met. But he didn't want to make the assumption that everyone from a noble home was a pampered spoiled child. He had come from a noble home after all even though he lived most of his life so far in the rukongai. Perhaps he couldn't really be counted due to that fact.

Slowly but surely the room cleared out and finally Tenjinsai could get to the front of one of the lines to get his own information. "Name?" "Tenjinsai Bushinji." The man behind the counter began to sort through the files that were underneath the desk looking for what he assumed was his own file. Upon locating what he assumed was the correct file he pulled out a grouping of papers and placed them on the counter. "One moment please." The man then stood up and walked towards the back of the office and opened up a box. He assumed that the box contained various uniforms of various sizes for the students at the academy. He already knew that he would be given a blue one since those were given to the males. The red uniforms were given to the female students of the academy. After a few moments of rooting through the box the man came back with a large blue uniform that he placed to the side of the papers. "These papers are your dorm assignment and class assignment. Familiarize yourself with them as you will most likely begin your classes tomorrow. This uniform is what you will wear while you are at the academy. Right now all students are provided with one but once the exam season has ended all students will be given extra uniforms to wear. Until then keep this one clean and presentable for class. You are dismissed." "Thank you sir." Taking his papers and uniform Tenjinsai left the office and stood in the hallway dumbfounded. Now that he actually thought about it he had no idea where he was and had no idea where to go. He figured the first thing he would do was to head to the dorms and get himself settled in. He wanted to change into his academy uniform as soon as he could but perhaps he would bath first. He didn't want to put on his brand new uniform while he was still sweaty and dirty. Now he just had to figure out how to get there so he could actually take the bath that he needed to. Looking around the halls like a misguided child he happened to see the same group of three students that he had sat near earlier. Glancing over at them he caught the eye of the woman that was in there group.

Peering over at him she smiled and began to walk towards him. He wasn't sure what to do, he had never been particularly good at talking to girls. Just act normally he continued to tell himself as she closed the gap between them step by step. He began to grow more nervous as the two men she had been with were now looking over this way as well rather quizzically. Gulping down a breath the woman was now standing before him with a bright smile on her face and a kind smile in her eyes. "Hello there. I noticed you looking over at me before while we were getting ready to take the exams." "Ah, yes, I'm uh, sorry about t-that. I was just looking around and before I-I noticed it I was, uh, was staring at y-you." The young girl giggled lightly and covered her mouth with the back of her hand as she laughed. Despite how she looked she had manners that were well beyond his own and probably beyond anyone in his family despite their noble heritage. Either that or she was simply being bashful due to the unusual yet flattering comment that he had chosen to made. Moving her hand from her mouth she moved them down near her abdomen and clasped them together. She smiled warmly at him and introduced himself. "Thank you, it's nice to formally meet you then. My name is Ami Koizumi." She produced a light bow as Tenjinsai quickly followed with the same and then introduced himself to her as well. "It's a pleasure to meet you as well. My n-name is Tenjinsai Bushinji." At the mention of his name the young woman quickly shot up from the bow with a look of both confusion and excitement upon her face. Raising an eyebrow Tenjinsai thought that he may have said something that he might not have wanted to. "You said your family name was Bushinji? Are you by chance related to the Third Seat of Squad Thirteen, Tsunkai Bushinji?" Tenjinsai internally groaned as he heard the woman mention the name of his elder brother. He wished he could say that this was the first time someone had asked him this question but it was not.

There were many young girls that went all googly eyed over the mention of his brothers name. He was a rather talented young officer that had quickly made a name for himself in the Gotei. The fact that he had risen to the rank of Third Seat in what was a very short period of time was rather impressive. Most people attributed this to the fact that his father was the Captain of his squad but it couldn't be more false. If anything that simply meant that their father put even more stringent judgment on Tsunkai to get him to perform to the best of his ability. The fact that he had been rewarded as much as he had was proof alone that he had been performing extraordinarily. Along with that he was quite the looker and the girls were quickly drawn to him due to his bachelor status. If one tagged the fact that he was of a high noble standing as well it made him one of the most elegible bachelors in the Seireitei. Nodding slowly and somewhat begrudgingly Tenjinsai responded to Ami's question. "Yes, Tsunkai is my elder brother. I haven't spoken to him in sometime though so, I can't really tell you much if you have questions." Ami's face twisted slightly to the side at the answer but her smile quickly returned after a few moments of what he believed to be contemplation. "It's alright, I'm just a fan of his I guess you could say. He's quite popular with the ladies I'm sure you know by now." She giggled once again as Tenjinsai nodded once more in accordance with the question she had asked. He had kind of grown accustomed to being asked these questions. He honestly sometimes wished he just didn't use his full name and just his first. But still he had pride in where he came from even if his family wasn't proud that he was one of them. "Yes, I'm rather well aware. I can't say you are the first person that has asked me that question. Many young woman are interested in asking me questions about him when they learn I am his younger brother." Ami smiled once more but in a more lack luster manner most likely sensing the somewhat irritation behind the thought. It wasn't that he wanted attention instead of just getting asked questions about his brother; more the fact that he didn't like discussing things about his family for obvious reasons.

"I'm sorry if I came on too strong, I just got excited for a moment." She crossed her arms over her chest as if she was thinking for a moment about the whole situation. He could see the cogs turning as she slowly put the pieces together one by one building a picture of the entire scenario. She quickly pointed a hand out towards him with an apparent realization of who he was in retrospect. "If you're a member of the Bushinji clan and Tsunkai's brother then you're descended from the main branch. That means that you are Captain Bushinji's son as well right?" "You would indeed be correct in that statement, he is indeed my father. Though, I haven't seen him in some time either I must say." Ami immediately got a look upon her face that could be described as awed and amazed. It was clear that she had just realized that he himself was technically born from very high stock of nobility. Well, not technically, he was of very high nobility as far as anyone else was concerned. The only technical point was the one in his mind of his own families stand point on his existence. He had never been forced to deny his existence as a member of their family. He was a Bushinji, everyone accepted this and allowed it to be. He was just not welcomed amongst the household of the rest of his family. He still reaped all the benefits of the name despite having to endure hardships that most people of such status would never even have to gaze upon. But he didn't want to bring down the situation by looking depressed. He was often easy to read as far as what he was feeling though explaining why he was feeling that way was a much more difficult subject. "I see, well, that's rather impressive being such a high ranking noble. I'm sure you must be proud of your families accomplishments." She smiled once again cocking her head slightly to the right trying to change the topic somewhat. "Yes, my family is rather well known for producing good stock. They're all rather incredible people and I hope I can make something of myself as well."

She nodded enthusiastically but stopped when one of the two men that was with her called out. Apparently they were getting ready to leave to look at their arrangements. "Ami come on, we have to get going so we can get ready for tomorrow." "Alright, coming!!" She turned back around to face Tenjinsai and placed her hands over one of his grasping it lightly. "It was nice to meet you Tenjinsai; hopefully we'll see more of each other during classes." "Likewise. I'll see you around then." Smiling at one another and then bowing, Ami ran off with her two companions to go off and most likely look at their classes and dorm assignment. It would probably be a good idea for him to do the same all things considered. He still had no real idea of where anything was here at the academy seeing as it was his first time there. It only came as an after thought that perhaps he should have asked Ami or the others if they knew the layout of the building. Granted, they had just passed the exams like he had but still there was a chance maybe they had been there before. Shrugging, he would have to figure things out for himself by just wandering around and getting to know the place. He was sure he would figure it out in due time and have some form of leeway for his first week or two. Surely the newly inducted students couldn't learn the layout of the rather large academy in a single day. They weren't given a map as far as he knew so they had to all just figure things out by, what he assumed was, wandering around and learning the layout. Still holding his uniform and papers Tenjinsai wandered off into the academy hoping to locate the dorms. He just wanted to find out where they were so he could see him room. He had his room assignment and even class assignment on the sheets. The problem was that he had no idea where anything was so he had no way of locating where they were unless he actually stumbled upon them. Sighing loudly, Tenjinsai wandered through the halls of the academy, his sheet with dorm and class assignment out as reference. If he happened upon one of his classes he felt that it would be good for him to stop and go inside to see it. He needed to make a mental note of where things were in reference to the front gates so he could find them again.

Right now he had gone down the main hall from the admissions office and exam hall so he was still on the 'main strip'. Taking a left at the first intersection he saw a long stretching hallway that opened up into a courtyard at the end of it. There were several classes of which were labeled with a number and letter signifying what class it was. He would see 1A, 2A, 3A, so on and so forth. There were about five classes on each side of the hall that were numbered oppositely and went back and forth. Classroom one would be on his left, two on the right, three on the left and it continued on until the end of the hall. At the end of the hall it opened up into a sort of open courtyard area that still resembled a hall to some degree. There were small pagoda pillars that held a wooden roof between them with open sidings. It was essentially an open air hallway that had dojos that probably served as training classrooms. He had already realized by this point that part of the academy was actually learning from a book and gaining knowledge about the arts. Then, once they had gotten a grasp of the understanding, they would learn the actual arts themselves. Wandering past the two dojos that stretched along the open walkway he followed the path and turned to the right along the winding stone patterned path. It led past the side of one of the dojos and stretched down towards the back of the academy. In the far distance he could see what looked to be a large open field like area surrounded by high walls with only one end open. There were targets that were set up at the end of several long lanes some of which had scorch marks on it. It had to have been some sort of training field, perhaps for that of kidou usage. He was sure he would find himself there at some point, most likely tomorrow if he had to take a guess. But for now it wasn't of too much importance other then just making a note of where it was. Continuing down the path and cutting the distance between himself and training field in half he took a right and headed back towards the central compound of the academy. He found himself in front of a building after walking for roughly a minute that was connected to the edge of the academy.

It didn't appear that the building itself was actually connected internally to the academy but just structurally attached. Stepping up to the doors of the building he moved through the open doors and took a look around. The layout was similar to the inside of the academy with long hallways littered with doors along the sides of the hallways. The difference here however was that there were a great deal more rooms littered along the sides of the halls then in the academy itself. The rooms were most likely much smaller then the classrooms, perhaps some kind of private lesson rooms for the advanced placement students? The hustle and bustle of the building seemed to deny that theory though as he walked through the halls of the building. Taking a right down one of the intersections he gazed into one of the rooms as he passed by and recognized it as being somewhat, homey. Perhaps he had managed to make his way into the academy dorms without even realizing it. The room had several people inside of it and furnishings that he would not consider indicative of a classroom. Looking down at his sheet of paper he located the listing of his dorm room number, E-16. He had no idea what that could possibly mean but if he just wandered the halls and tried to gain some sort of idea from the other rooms perhaps he could locate his own. Currently he was moving through rooms that were labeled with W before the letter. He had a theory though he was unsure if it was correct or not. Perhaps the letter indicated the part of the building they were located in. It could have been separated by cardinal direction to give some form of structure to the building and make it easier to locate the rooms. If he was in the W or west area, then he would have to turn around and go the opposite way to get to the E, or east area. Turning around from the hallway he was in he returned from wence he came and went down the opposite hall at the intersection he had turned down previously. As he moved through the hall he recognized the rooms as still being labeled as W but the numbers were getting lower.

He was also finding himself getting closer to another intersection that might have actually been the cardinal center of the building. Upon moving into the intersection he found himself maneuvering past a group of students that had taken up mingling in the midst of the area to get to the opposite end of the crossed paths. Upon moving to the opposite end of the hall he was glad to see that the first dorm room he stumbled upon was labeled E-1. He was in the right area now at least he just had to figure out where his own room was now. Passing by room after room he came across yet another intersection and stopped for a moment. It was clear he was in the east sector now but he was unsure of which direction he should go in to get to his actual room. He wasn't sure how the numbering of the rooms worked so if he continued forward it might not go up to sixteen. Deciding to take a left instead of continuing forward he wandered off down yet another hallway dodging students as throngs of both new and old academy cadets wandered the halls from their rooms. The first room he stumbled upon was labeled E-12, he was in the right area, or at least he hoped he was. He would know soon enough as he looked around at both sides of the hall to see how the rooms were numbered. It seemed they were in the same set up as the classrooms changing from left to right going up one number at a time. Thirteen, fourteen, fifteen, there it was, sixteen. His room was the third room on the right side of the wall from the cardinal center of the building. From where he came in he went up one hallway, took a left, went down another hallway to the next intersection, and then took a left. He would have to remember that for future reference so he would remember how to get to his dorm room, especially amongst the confusion. Sighing, he grabbed hold of the handle to his room and slid the door open then stepping into the room. It was rather small with two beds on opposite ends of the room, two desks, two chairs, a small closet, a very tiny kitchen, and then a single bathroom. By the appearance of the room it was clear that they were meant to have roommates which led him to wonder who his roommate would be.

Perhaps Ami would end up being his roommate, or perhaps it would be one of her two companions. It could be anyone honestly, but he at least knew it would be one of the newly entranced students. It would be strange to place first year students with those who had been there longer. But then again he didn't know how things here worked so there was no real way for him to tell who would end up walking through that door. For the time being though he could use a good bath and rest before wandering about the academy again to try and figure out where his classes were. Claiming the right side of the room, Tenjinsai placed his uniform on the bed and his assignment papers on the desk near the bed. Moving into the small bathroom he shut the sliding door behind him and gazed around at the tiny room. It was a standard bathroom that was meant for a single individual. There was a square wooden tub that was about five by five and it could comfortably house one person if they were sitting down. There was already water inside it and it actually look clean. Did they prepare the rooms for the new students already or was his roommate already here earlier today? Whatever the cause the bath was full and ready to go. He just needed to place a few pieces of wood in the furnace to get the water heated up. Taking five logs he placed them into the furnace one by one stacking them up like a pyramid without a top. Grabbing the flint and stone that were atop the furnace he knelt down in front of the opening and struck it repeatedly until one of the pieces of wood began to smoke. Slowly but surely it began to smoke more and more as the heat inside increased and eventually the small cut log caught fire. As the fire spread inside the furnace and the other small logs began to catch fire he shut the door to the furnace and sealed that latch that kept the panel shut. Stripping down and folding his clothes into a neat pile near the door of the bathroom he slid himself into the tub and relaxed as the water slowly began to heat up. Stretching his arms out behind him on the edge of the tub he let his head lean back and look up towards the ceiling as he relaxed in his bath.

He wondered what kind of life he would have here at the academy. He had scored very well on the test and was apparently of immense potential. Would he be one of the rare prodigies that came out of the academy and graduate within a year or two. Would he fail to meet the expectation that had been laid out for him and end up going the full curriculum. Maybe he would even not actually make the cut and fail to pass the graduation exams when they came around. There was no way for him to really know what was going to happen here. All he could truly do was to try his best and perform to the best of his abilities. He would become a great shinigami one day and he would do everything in his power to make that happen. He couldn't doubt himself, he had to have completely confidence in everything that he did. This was his chance to truly make his dreams come true. He would make his family, and his father, proud. He would become a greater shinigami then even his father was so that one day he could look upon him and not think of what had happened when he was born and see what a great man he had become.

Hana had entered the area and was completely lost. She stopped just before a door and stomped her foot as she yelled. "AMAICHOU! YOU'RE A JIGOKUCHOU FOR KING'S SAKE! HOW DID YOU GET LOST!" She yelled at a small black butterfly fluttering around in her face. The butterfly seemed to twitter just lightly before facing its rear end at her. "OH THAT'S NICE! JUST THRUST YOUR LITTLE BUTT IN MY FACE WHY DON'T YOU! SHESH!" She said as she turned away and pouted for a moment. After taking a deep breath, she ran her right hand through her extensively long black, silken smooth hair. She breathed in for a moment, then out as she spoke once more. "Look, I'm sorry Amaichou. I didn't mean to yell."The butterfly fluttered around and rested upon her nose as it lifted it's wings slightly. "I know, I love you too. I'm sorry for yelling. Now, what room was it we were suppose to go to?" She asked as the Jigokuchou fluttered around for a moment before resting upon her nose once more. She sighed as she rested her left hand on top of the Odachi she held strapped to her side. Shaking her head lightly, she spoke with a less happy tone. "So we really are lost. Well that's fine. We'll find out way eventually." She patted her foot for a moment and spoke lightly as she recalled the number she was to remember. "So, we're looking for E-16, right?" She said as she pondered for a moment. Shaking her head, she declared that didn't seem right. But perhaps it was just the stress of being lost.

The Beginning of an Adventure Empty Re: The Beginning of an Adventure

Post by Tenjinsai Bushinji Tue Feb 04, 2014 1:57 am

As Tenjinsai loitered in the tub his mind wandered off causing him to close his eyes and fall asleep in the relaxation of the warm water around him. He drifted off to his past in his subconsciousness; recalling events that had occurred in his childhood. The most traumatic even for him was his nineteenth birthday, he had been taken aside by his father for a private conversation. He had never been summoned by his father before especially not in private. He was eager to see what it could have been about though he had a feeling of anxiety deep in the pit of his stomach. He had gone into his fathers room and had seen him sitting quietly behind his desk. Upon entering the room he immediately bowed to his father to show due respect. "Ah you're here, please, sit." "Thank you father." Stepping into the room he slid the door shut behind him and then knelt down in front of the table at the center of the room. Placing his hands over his lap he watched as his father moved from his desk to sit on the side of the table opposite himself. A few moments of silence passed as the two awkwardly looked at one another before looking away and then gazing around the room before returning their stare to one another. "Tenjinsai, I've asked you here for a single reason. You are nineteen years old and are a man now. I think it is time for you to leave the estate and live on your own." Tenjinsai was dumbfounded, he had no idea what to even say to his father. He had so casually told him that he had to leave the house because he was a man now. The part that confused him the most was why he had to leave when the others didn't have to. His brother was a great deal older then him and he still lived within the grounds. His sister lived here as well and was the same age as Tsunkai. There was something more to this and he thought that he knew exactly what the reason was. Lowering his head down towards his lap he looked down to the floor while hiding his face. "I, I see what it really is. Does my presence truly disturb you that much father? Is seeing my face that much of a burden for you that I cannot be allowed to stay in my own home." From across the desk he heard a long inhale followed by an equally long exhale.

"Tenjinsai, I'm sorry but I just can't have you stay here. Whenever I see you all I am reminded of is the past. You are a constant reminder of what once was and I just can't have you in the house anymore. You will of course be given enough money to look after yourself until you find a way to provide for yourself." With that his father placed a large sack of coins on the table and then stood up and moved back towards his desk. "You should go and say goodbye to your brother and sister before you leave. They would probably like to know if you're going to be gone." Tenjinsai didn't know what to see about what he had just been told. He was being forced to leave his home like he was some sort of guest that had overstayed their welcome. His father had even offered him a large sum of money to take care of himself while he was gone. Then, after asking him to leave, he treated it as though he had made the decision himself and was leaving of his own fruition. It was clear he had no choice in the matter and his input was basically just flavor text to what was already an inevitability. Slowly standing himself up like some sort of strange rag doll his body hung lifelessly as though he was a drifter who didn't exist to those around him. He refused to take the money on the principle of the matter. He would leave because his father couldn't handle having him around but he wouldn't be provided for as a sort of bargaining chip. "I will take my leave now then..." Though he couldn't say he saw this coming he always had a feeling somewhere in the back of his head that this could have possibly happened. His father had never really been close with him since he was born and there had always been tension. But he still loved his father and thought that he cared about him as well. Perhaps he had been mistaken this entire time and his father simply saw him as the burden he had made him out to be. Many different emotions welled up inside of him at once and his mind had a hard time controlling everything that he was feeling. Keeping it under control for the time being it was time for him to leave and he figured it would be best if he just disappeared without saying anything to the others.

It would only be a greater burden if they knew he was leaving. Standing up and moving towards the door of the room, he slid it open and stepped through the threshold with one leg. Stopping short just before exiting the room he said one last thing to his father before leaving forever. "Father, I hope that one day you will be able to look at me as something other then a reminder of the past. I hope you can look upon me one day and be proud of my accomplishments and who I am. I'm sorry...." With that he quickly left the room and shut the door behind him walking away in a quick fashion. From the corner of his eyes small drops of liquid began to well up as he tried his best to hold his feelings back. He had just been driven away from his own home and turned away by his father. All he ever wanted was to make his father proud, to make him look at him in a way that would let him smile. He just wanted to be loved like his brother and sister. He just wanted his father to truly be, his father. Slowly, the vision began to fade as Tenjinsai woke up back in tub with the water having cooled considerably and only being lukewarm at the moment. Moving one of his arms to his face he wiped away the liquid that had gathered under his eyes cleaning off his face. "Why did I have to remember something from so long ago...." Sighing, he slowly got up from the bath and carefully stepped out of the wooden fixture. Grabbing a towel and drying himself off he quickly doned one of the robes that hung in the bathroom and fastened it firmly to himself. Moving towards the door of the bathroom he picked up his folded clothes from the floor and stepped back into the main room of his dorm. Looking about the room he exhaled slowly and loudly before stumbling over to his bed and collapsing on top of it with his clothes falling to the ground beside his bed. He had been in the bath for too long and he was now rather exhausted from the heat of the tub and the endeavours that he had gone through today. Closing his eyes he placed his hands behind his head and began to relax and let sleep take him away to a land of calm and peace. It was a place that his past couldn't reach him, the only place that he could truly find salvation.

The Beginning of an Adventure Empty Re: The Beginning of an Adventure

Post by Hana Yasashī Tue Feb 04, 2014 11:25 am

Hana had moaned in frustration once more before she nodded to Amaichou. The little butterfly lifted off of her nose and rested upon her shoulder as she walked forward. She continued going until she found the room she had been looking for. Perhaps it was a good hour's trek just inside the dorm to find this room. How pitiful! She was hesitant to open the door or attempt to knock. Was someone inside? She wasn't sure if it was really logical to just barge in. Though, she is suppose to be here. She gently grabbed the handle and opened the door as silently as possible. Walking forward, she attempted to turn to face the door but her Odachi struck the door frame and caused a somewhat loud clatter sound. She immediately lifted the Odachi to her side and closed the door as quick as possible. Unfastening the blade from her side, she rested it upon the bed that was unoccupied.  Though, she didn't realize the other bed was occupied either. As she looked around, her eyes glistened with happiness about the beautiful room. Though it was of a simple design, it seemed almost elegant in a way. She nodded her head as she spoke. "Hey, Amaichou, it's not that bad right? Looks pretty quaint and cute." SHe sighed as she ran both of her hands through her long silken black hair. Shaking her head, she sat down upon the bed closest to her. Little to her knowledge she would plant her behind firmly upon Tenjinsai. Once she sat upon him, she fell backwards due to instability in her sitting position. She then preceded to bang her head against the wall which caused more ruckus then she intended. After that, the only thing that she could see was her own legs bent upwards and Amaichou prancing around like an idiot, laughing at her.

She shook her head and spoke to Amaichou. "It's not funny! Shesh Amaicho!" She struggled to get up but she wasn't sure WHAT was keeping her there. She started to allow her hands to feel about the area only to find a being before her. "EEK!" She screamed as she attempted to roll her way away from him. Being barely successful, she would stand up and face the man in the bed with her hand clenched on her mouth. Her free hand, of course, was wrapped around her body just under her average sized breasts. Looking at him, she couldn't muster any words aside from a nearly whisper, "I-I'm sorry." She said lightly. Her eyes focused on the man before her as she didn't know what to say or do. She was somewhat worried that he'd smack her or worse. She slowly backed up to her bed with the Odachi resting just beside her. Amaichou, on the other hand seemed to feel a different type of vibe from this man. He seemed to flutter around the man and rest upon his nose gently. He'd flutter for a moment in an attempt to say hi, before fluttering back to Hana's shoulder.

The Beginning of an Adventure Empty Re: The Beginning of an Adventure

Post by Tenjinsai Bushinji Tue Feb 04, 2014 5:43 pm

As he lay resting Tenjinsai was whisked away to a world of nothingness and peace. It was a place where his mind could lay easy without a single care. He essentially did not think, he did not act, he just simply, was. However as he lay he felt a strange sensation about his body, a pressure against his stomach. It did not bring him from his rest but it made him aware that something unusual was going on. Was he dreaming, was it some kind of strange reality he was entering in his sleep. Maybe something was happening in the real world as he lay resting in his bed. Within the next few moments the world around him began to become more warm and sensational as he could feel what were like hands roaming over his body. His face contorted into a look of confusion as he continued to lay there and slowly come out of his rest. Slowly cracking his eyes open he heard a high pitched scream that eminated from the room jolting him awake. Jumping up from his bed he looked around the now night darkened room and saw a figure standing a few feet from him. She whispered something quietly under her breath that he could barely understand. It sounded like she had said she was sorry, perhaps she had sat on him by accident without realizing the bed was occupied? Grunting lightly as he got up from the bed he slid himself over to the edge and stood up slowly. As he did so a hell butterfly landed on the tip of his nose and caused him to go crosseyed for a moment while looking at it before it flew away gently back to the girl that was now in the room with him. Straightening his robe out he took a few steps forward towards the girl to try and get a better look at her. She seemed rather young, probably around his own age, though appearances could be rather deceiving in this world. She was short, or at least decently shorter then himself with him standing roughly half a foot over her. Her body was rather thin as well being petite and small. However the most stunning feature of the woman before him was the high ponytail that held her incredibly long hair behind her head. It was a sleek jet black and was incredibly beautiful.

Stepping a little closer to her once more there was something else that hadn't seen before that had now came into view. She had a large blade with her, easily the size of her body if not even longer. He was surprised that he had yet to recognize something so massively obvious. The darkness must have been playing tricks with him, conceiling it from his sight. Clearing his throat quietly he prepared to address the newly met woman that he found in his room. "Umm, hello. I assume that you are going to be my roommate? Though it's a little strange to have a man and woman rooming in the same dorm." Stepping over to the desk that was close to her bed he took a seat in the chair that was beside it and placed his arms in his lap. "Don't worry about, sitting, on me. It was dark so it's not farfetched that you couldn't see me." Leaning forward slightly he extended his right arm out towards her with his hand open to be grasped if she would like to. "My name is Tenjinsai Bushinji, it's a pleasure to meet you, miss?" He waited a moment after speaking hoping that the young woman would fill in the blank at the end of his sentence. He wouldn't be particularly surprised if she didn't immediately open up to him. She seemed a tad startled that she had not only found someone else in the room but also managed to sit on them. He was sure that once she realized it was fine and the tension in the room defused the could make proper introductions into being, what he assumed, was roommates.

Hana saw him move about the room and get closer to her. She grasped the blade tightly as he moved off to sit in a chair next to the desk. She slowly let her hand release the blade's tsuka as she coughed lightly. She was somewhat red in the face by now, having thoroughly making this meeting quite awkward. He talked about not being able to see him, which was indeed the case. She nodded at that comment, however, she was thrown off her game when he had spoke his name. She took a moment before she realized that he offered to shake her head. Taking it, she bowed slightly and spoke. "Hana Yasashii-"" She said as she stopped in her tracks before speaking more. She analyzed the man's face. Was he telling the truth? That name sparked a lot of thoughts with in her head. "I'm sorry, you said Bushinji? As in, the Bushinji Clan of the Noble Houses?" She was somewhat dumbfounded by the fact that he said such a name. Though, it was highly unlikely that was indeed the Bushinji she was thinking of. Shaking her head, she spoke lightly. "I'm sorry, it's just that, I don't remember you. I was at the Bushinji Manor a lot with my Father. But, I never recalled seeing you there at all." She said as her hands now rested upon her sides. She gently sat upon her bed as she rested her arms inside the opposite sleeves of her Shihakuchou. This was most definately different and that was for sure.

The Beginning of an Adventure Empty Re: The Beginning of an Adventure

Post by Tenjinsai Bushinji Sun Feb 09, 2014 6:13 pm

The young woman introduced herself as being Hana Yamashii. She seemed slightly off kilter, most likely still from the scare of discovering someone else in the darkened room. Though, the situation seemed to be defusing nicely as she became more comfortable. Taking his hand in her own to reciprocate the greeting the two shook hands while Hana felt it necessary to bow as well while holding his hand. It was somewhat unusual though his own greeting was not one that was typical of his culture. The handshake was more of a western styled greeting while a bow was more accustomed to their own heritage. Either way though, a greeting was a greeting and it didn't particularly need to be disected. What happened next though was completely unexpected as she had blindsided him with a question. The question itself wasn't particularly confusing, their name was well known and asking if he was from the noble house was not a bold question. The statement that followed the question was what had confused him. She had apparently visited the estate many times with her father. It could have certainly been possible, what did he really know about what went on there. He had only lived within the grounds until he was nineteen years old, it had been over one hundred years since he had set foot within the compound. His father had many friends, both professionally and personally. It wasn't particularly a stretch of the imagination to think that one of his friends could have been invited into his fathers home and had brought their daughter along. His father did after all enjoy the company of children, though that could stem from his somewhat sadistic attitude when he trained them. He had heard many stories of how his 'training sessions' could get rather intense. That was after all how his brother had manage to get the scar over his eye. No one would ever think that his own father had accidentally injured him during training. Putting that aside though, he still had a question to answer as he realized he had been sitting in the room staring at her quizzically without saying a word. Shaking his head lightly he followed it up by sighing gently and responding to her inquiry.

"Yes, I am actually a member of the Bushinji Clan, a descendant of the main line I guess you could say. I'm the youngest of the siblings with Tsunkai and Amaya being my older brother and sister. I however was never really on, lets call it good terms, with my father. I had left the house when I was very young, only nineteen years of age so its possible I was long gone when you were visiting the compound." He looked slightly downward as a rush of memories returned to him. It also happened when he spoke of his family and his youth. It was not a topic he was particularly fond of and would rather not talk about it. Though he was not above answering general questions he refused to delve any deeper into the matters of why. It was a topic that he had never spoken to about anyone and had never been brought up in the household even when he had lived there. It was an unspoken rule in the house that loomed like a dark cloud in the minds of everyone that lived there. It was a darkness that had been born with him.

Hana adjusted herself as she sat down. Her hands rested in her lap now, as her eyes watched Ten look downwards. It seemed he was troubled, and that she shouldn't push the matter forward. Being respectful, she acknowledged this and moved on. Her right hand would rest upon his for a moment as she spoke. "I'm sorry to hear that." As she said this, her hand removed back to her lap. She settled in to wwhat she presumed was her bed. Lifting a gaze up lightly, she looked at the ceiling for a moment. It was then that the Jigokuchou landed upon her nose and fluttered his wings. "Amaichou, why are you such a weird one. Always being in front of my face like that." She giggled a little before she looked back at Ten. Clearing her throat, she spoke softly. "So uh, I guess it's a little awkward that they bunked us together. I guess it must have been a mistake of some sort. If you want, I can try to find some other place to stay tonight." She said as her body shifted upon the bed so that she gently caressed the saya of her Odachi. She wasn't that shy, per say. She knew, though, that she had to either stay there the night and deal with it, or she needed to just leave and hope to fix the bunking issue. Either was fine for her, as she knew the Bushinji family was a long line of noble, kind hearted individuals. It was, what it was.

The two sat in silence for what seemed like an eternity after he had divulged a small portion of his personal family dynamics. It was understandable though seeing as it was not what he would consider a cheerful topic. Bringing his gaze upwards as he heard Hana offer him condolences towards his familial position he raised up his right hand and waved it off dismissing it entirely. "It's not really a big deal to be honest. It gives me the freedom to do what I want to do and not really be under the scrutiny of the public eye. Sometimes I actually prefer to keep my identity private just so I'm not placed under the same expectation that the rest of my family would be." Leaning back in his chair he raised his left leg over his right and let his hands rest over his lifted knee while looking at Hana. She had begun to gaze up at the ceiling and as she did so Tenjinsai noticed something strange. There was a hell butterfly that was in the room that had landed upon her nose. 'Strange', he thought to himself that a message would be sent to her so late in the day. Perhaps it was something from her father since he couldn't see the academy sending a message to a first day first year at night time. But no, it did not appear it had a message for her, in fact it seemed that it was her, friend? As it landed upon her nose she addressed it as Amaichou, and actually spoke to it as though it were an actual person. Raising an eyebrow at the incredibly unusual sight he decided to dismiss it for the time being and focus on the more pressing matter, what to do about their rooming.

It appeared that Hana had the same thought in mind as she spoke addressing the same matter. She offered to leave and find someplace else to bunk for the night until she could find, what he presumed to be, another dorm that would be more suitable for her considering the gender assignment. But it was late, and he was sure that the young girl was tired and his own morals would not allow him to throw her out into the darkness of night with no place to go home to. Standing up and moving towards his bed he patted her on the shoulder as he brushed past her and sat himself upon his bunk. "There's no need to go through so much effort just because of something we perceive as unusual. I'm sure there isn't a mistake considering your paperwork matches mine in that this is our dorm. If this is where we've been assigned to stay then this will be our home for the time being." Sliding himself over and laying down on his bed he propped his head up against the pillow in a sort of psuedo sitting up position where his torso was high enough to still be able to look around without straining his neck too much. "For the time being though I would suggest that we get to bed. It's late and if we make too much noise I'm sure whoever tends to the dorms will have a field day yelling at a pair of first years." He smiled warmly at her after speaking with the white glint of his teeth barely showing in the pale light of the moon that shone into their room.

Though perhaps a tad strange with the whole, hell butterfly thing, she seemed a nice enough girl. He could quickly see the two becoming friends and hopefully they had some classes together. Perhaps it was fate that had brought them to the same dorm, what with their fathers being friends it was clear there was some form of a connection. Though what that connection was he hadn't the faintest clue. Time would tell all though and of that he had plenty. He could wait a while for the future to unravel itself before him. So for the time being, he would revel in the excitement of the present and hold himself in anticipation for what the future would hold.

Hana gently pursed her lips as she giggled at his comment of the perusing staff. Nodding for a moment, she foudn herself snuggling in to her blankets and resting with her Odachi tightly clamped next to her just above the bed on two small hooks. When she zoned out for a moment, it appeared she had created the home for her Odachi. How cute indeed! Nodding for a moment, she would speak lightly. "Good night Tenjinsai, Good Night Amaichou." The butterfly fluttered for a moment and rested upon the post of the bed. All creatures were alive, in their own respect. Though, Amaichou was a special case indeed.

((time skip~ And sleeping is fun!))

The morning had come and Hana decided it was time to disappear. Her studies were a little more, specalized. It wasn't that she didn't want to learn the rest of her abilities and become the best she could, but she was oriented towards a specific type of training for now. It was needed to allow her to finish and reach the goal she wished to go towards.

Arriving at the Academy after the long journey from Rivershire, Shimada wasn't in the least tired like the man was who left him at the Academy entrance. Looking around the place wasn't too impressive as he thought it would be at first. Things seemed rather plain and boring to him, he was originally hoping it would be more colorful since it was one of the most popular places in the Soul Society. "To think for a place this old it would be styled better. Oh well nothing I can do about it. Just need to get this over with." Looking around once more everyone was wearing a uniform but him but that's how Shimada wanted it to be. He hated uniforms almost with a full passion unless they could be twisted into his own sense of fashion. Being dull and boring plus on top of that blending in with people was one of the biggest things he did not like having to do. Taking a look over by a tree he saw a group who had just graduated and were wearing black outfits that were completely different from the rest of them and he smiled at that. "At least some of the style gets better after leaving this place. I just hope I'm not forced to wear those dull clothes." Shimada was thinking that in his head but he was snickering on the outside since the style of the school was just that funny to him.

Moving on from those thoughts he wondered on how he was going to find out what his classes were and where they were being held so he could get started right away. "I'm more of a hand to hand and swordplay type of person so I just hope I get those classes." Walking over to some steps he decided to let his feet rest for a bit while he just sat back and waited to see what comes next in his life story.

The Beginning of an Adventure Empty Re: The Beginning of an Adventure

Post by Tenjinsai Bushinji Wed Nov 05, 2014 2:51 am

As the light of the rising morning sun rolled through the window, it illuminated Tenjinsai and sparked his senses to wake him from his pleasant rest. His eyes twitched for a moment before opening to get a glimpse of the next days morning. Raising his arms above his head he stretched his limbs out while releasing a large yawn from within his lungs. Picking himself up and rolling sideways out of the bed his feet caught the floor and Tenjinsai stood to his full height. "Ahhhhh, another wonderful morning here in the Academy. The second of hopefully many." His demeanor went down slightly thinking about what he just said. It almost seemed as though he had a negative outlook on how his experiences were going to be here. His first was not too bad, aside from being reminded who he was and where he came from. That whole experience he definitely could have done without, but meeting all of the new students here and having a new experience in his life, that, that was something that he could come to enjoy.

He just hoped that everyday would be like that and he would perform to the best of his ability so he could truly enjoy his time here. He knew that once he graduated and joined the Gotei Thirteen his life would a great deal more stressful. There would be no more just being a student and wandering around the academy attending classes, hanging out with friends, and just having a good time. Being a shinigami meant something, you were a soldier, a guardian, someone who had the responsibilities of more then just themselves on their shoulders. There was much that would be expected of him come that time and he would have to accept it as that. Sighing quietly, Tenjinsai went about the mundane morning tasks that everyone else in the academy had to perform, or he hoped they performed, in the morning. He bathed himself, changed his clothes, brushed his teeth, and made himself something to eat. Having done all of this in an impressive forty five minutes, he set out from his dorm seeing that Hana had already left earlier that morning as well.

Not thinking about it for more then a few seconds, Tenjinsai shrugged, walked out the door and shut it behind him. He headed off in the direction of the main compound where the majority of the classes took place and where he would be having his classes. His first class of the day would be Zanjutsu, learning how to wield a zanpaktou in battle. Granted, he had already been trained on how to wield a zanpaktou and had an asauchi with him that he had become fond of. But this was only because of his brother Tsunkai, he was willing to help him out where his father would not. He often wondered how his brother was doing, his sister as well considering he had not seen either of them in many decades. Sighing once more he shook his head gently before making his way down the hall. He didn't want to keep thinking of the past but it was all he really knew. He never had many friends when he lived on his own if any at all. He had always taken care of himself and likewise was left by himself. On the rare occasion his siblings would visit him when he was in one location for more then a week or two, but other then that his social interactions were few and far between.

He was a loner and had always been that way so when he had the time to reflect upon himself, there was only his past to think of and the bitter memories that it held. As he continued to move forward these thoughts lingered in his head and he didn't realize that there was an individual sitting on the steps outside of his dorm building. Moving down the steps he accidentally kneed them in the back as he was taking a step down and then tripped falling on top of whomever it was that he fell on. After a few moments of uncontrollable rolling and falling he found himself staring up at the sky while laying on top of another man that he had fallen on. Slowly pulling himself up he brushed the dirt and bits of gravel off of his uniform and from his hair and reached a hand down to help the man he had accosted up. "I'm very sorry about that I didn't even see you there. I was, too wrapped up in my own mind and did not pay attention to where I was going."

Laying on the ground Shimada realized that a person had bumped into him and sent him flying off the steps. This was an unexpected welcome to the Academy after living in Rivershire and training. The man stood up and brushed himself off as Shimada started to get up. His sword fell out of his sash and was now on the ground as well, looking around he quickly took the hand of the man who offered it to him and got back up to his feet. The man quickly apologized for bumping into him as he was deep in thought, which Shimada could understand. Reaching down he grabbed his sword and placed it back on his left hip and looked at the man. "You seem very strong, almost to that of a man I once ran into earlier. Tell me why are you still a student." Shimada was curious as he could sense this man's power from deep within and knew there was more than meets the eye. This was a typical conclusion Shimada had when meeting new people that they were very strong. Someone new to surpass more or less but still it was how he saw other people when first meeting them. Being at a loss for words towards this new man he wasn't sure how to speak with him or about what subjects. "If you don't mind me asking do you know what classes I'm supposed to be at? I want to get started." Shimada was very anxious to get started so he could hurry into a Division and protect Rivershire with all of his true strength.

Post by Tenjinsai Bushinji Wed Nov 05, 2014 5:11 am

It wasn't until after the man had taken his hand that he realized that he was carrying a sword with him as well. Though it wasn't too rare to see someone with a sword in the academy it still wasn't that commonplace especially around the first year dorms. He had special circumstance to having his own blade because of who he was and what his family was. Perhaps this man had some interesting circumstance as to how he came to be here and in hand of his equipment. But before Tenjinsai even had the chance to introduce himself, the man had already poised a question to him and it was not as conventional as, whats your name. He had told him that he was very strong and then asked him why he was a student. Tenjinsai was somewhat confused as to what he had said and what he asked. He had considered himself somewhat talented and a little past the curve, but he had never really considered himself strong. Everyone in his family was strong and he had grown up around that strength for a large portion of his life. He never really considered himself, or many other people, strong.

But perhaps in comparison to the average person he was, special, in some way. "I suppose I am, somewhat strong, maybe compared to my peers. But, there are many people who are stronger then me, I am not strong enough to really note in comparison to all those who are standing past me. That is why I am still a student, so I can eventually be that strong one day." Nodding after his miniature speech, he realized he was beginning to get late to getting to his class. He had given himself enough time for a lazy walk, and possible some lost wandering, and still get there with some time to spare. This little stumble and meeting had eaten into a moderate amount of time. It was probably a good idea to get going before he used up anymore time. The man he had just met appeared to be having the same idea, or at least same train of thought as far as class went, to ask him what class he was supposed to be at.

"You should have gotten your curriculum when you went and picked up the, uniform...." Looking at him now he realized that his man was not wearing the academy uniform. He wasn't a part of the academy, and he was certainly not one of the teachers or a shinigami. He appeared to be dressed in a rather unusual fashion even considering what the villagers in the rukongai wear. His clothing could mostly be summed up as either vagrant or bandit like, in appearance. Though he did not want his clothing to be reflected as an opinion of what Tenjinsai thought of him. Though he was still curious as to what brought this individual to the academy. "Now that I see you don't have a uniform I could see why you don't know where to go. Are you actually a student in the, academy?" He was more interested now in hearing what this mans story was then about getting to class on time. He could at least talk his way around being late to class, but this story was getting more and more interesting the longer he spent with this man. Little things he was discovering just from observing him, it got very intriguing very fast.

Shimada smiled then laughed about his clothing and not wearing the uniform but was somewhat glad that it didn't bother anyone that he wasn't wearing one. Then the man asked him if he was a student at the Academy, this shocked Shimada to some of a degree but then again he wasn't in the uniform. "Yes I am, I was recruited into the Academy by the higher ups." Looking down at his sword he felt something strange coming from it like a power, shaking it off he quickly went on with his story. "I am the man who is known for taking down the top criminals of District 80 Zaraki of the North Rukongai. I also helped reestablish the town of Rivershire and it is now a very popular location out there." Looking back on the last seventeen months Shimada knew that he had made great progress on himself. Defeating all of the top murderers of the outer districts and even being noticed by the higher ups of the Soul Society for his actions. They even went as far to train him and give him proper training in the Shinigami Academy. All of this over just defeating some lifeless bandits who were out there just to break the law of the world and kill as many as possible. Shimada closed his eyes for a moment and reopened them almost instantly as he then looked to the sky. "This world is an amazing place. I intend to make a good name for myself and become a Captain someday. I shall bring justice back to the outer districts of the Rukongai and make this world safe again." He also secretly wanted to make his bloodline or family as Royal family of the Soul Society to make a better name for himself. It was all just wishful thinking however in the back of his mind however not too far fetched as most would think.

Shimada looked at the man once again and saw his sword, this was a great thing to know someone else with his caliber was here in the Academy as well. "I am Shimada Kamashi, protector and leader of the town Rivershire of North Rukon district 80 Zaraki. Future Captain of the Court Guard Squads." Extending his hand to the man hoping to make a good impression, Shimada wanted to make allies here quickly. Hoping this man would stick around and help him find his way to his class so he could become strong quickly. This was all just a start toward his strong future in this world and bring a brighter justice to it all.

The Beginning of an Adventure Empty Re: The Beginning of an Adventure

Post by Tenjinsai Bushinji Wed Nov 05, 2014 3:13 pm

Tenjinsai had met quite the interesting individual on only his second day at the academy. Not only had he apparently been recruited into the academy but he was rather ambitious too it seemed. He claimed himself to be one of the Captains of the Gotei Thirteen one day. Even in the history of the entire academy only maybe a handful of students have ever risen to the rank of Captain. It was incredibly rare, and of course a great honor, for a shinigami to be given that rank. But it was less the fact that people were not being appointed as Captains, but more that few students ever achieve bankai or even have the potential to do so. It takes a rare talented individual to progress that far, and even then it takes many decades, even centuries, for a shinigami to make that leap. So while Tenjinsai could say that the boast was not without claim, but it was not going to be as easy as this man seemed to believe it was. He had seen the power that a Captain possessed first hand, it was not something that one acquired over night.

But still it was, amusing, to see such optimism for the first time in a long time. He smiled and couldn't hold back a laugh either as he reached forward and grabbed hold of the mans outstretched hand. "Forgive my laughter, I do not mean to wound your pride. It's just refreshing to see someone so full of life after so long. In the path that my life had taken me there was not much happiness to be found for myself." His smile faded slightly but he pardoned it quickly and reaffirmed himself with a small grin. "Its a pleasure to meet you Shimada Kamashi, protector and leader of Rivershire of the north rukon district eighty, Zaraki. I am Tenjinsai Bushinji, student of the academy. I don't have much in the way of titles unfortunately." Letting go of the mans hand a spark ran through Tenjinsai's brain as he remembered once more, he had to go to class. It was clear that Shimada did not know what classes he was even attending yet having been admitted in an, unorthodox, manner. Perhaps he could just take him with him to his zanjutsu class and see how things worked out.

Shrugging to himself, Tenjinsai began to walk away as he waved for Shimada to follow him. "Shimada I have to get going to my zanjutsu class before I end up more late then I already will be. If you want to come with me you are more then welcome, though I don't know how the teacher is going to handle it. But since you are a special circumstance in the academy, perhaps you should be a special circumstance in the class as well, would certainly be interesting at least." Waving his hand once more signalling Shimada to follow him, Tenjinsai went off towards the main compound of the academy, not really running, but walking at a brisk pace. He didn't want to be astoundingly late to his first class at the academy EVER. It wouldn't exactly make a good impression upon himself, especially after how well he did in his entrance exams. Sighing softly, Tenjinsai was beginning to realize that the academy was not going to be as much of a picnic as he had hoped it would be. He spoke quietly to himself as he continued to move down the path towards the main buildings. "It's going to be an interesting six years, thats for sure."

After explaining his story and then finally getting the name of this man, Tenjinsai Bushinji, which is a family name known throughout the lands. It was nice to meet someone of this class an of royal blood. Following Tenjinsai to the class he was going to first. "This is going to be a grand start for everything. Time to take the first step into the line that I am destined for." Life couldn't be better now with things falling into place as he walked up to a building where classes were being held. Taking a deep breath he continued to walk behind his new ally possibly friend to start their first class together.

The Beginning of an Adventure Empty Re: The Beginning of an Adventure

Post by Tenjinsai Bushinji Fri Nov 21, 2014 1:40 am

The methods of the academy were rather harsh and they only took the best of the best. Most students weren't cut out to be shinigami and dropped out before they even finished their first year. He had no doubt that he could manage to graduate from the academy with flying colors. He had a feeling he might even blow through the schooling in less then half the time actually necessary. His skills were well beyond that of the majority, if not all, of the academy students on their first year. He was stronger then some graduated shinigami as a matter of fact. There was no chance of failure for him, and if there was, he would wipe it out with the entirety of his power. Making his way up the steps of the academy, Tenjinsai walked through the large open double doors that led into the center of the compound. The main building was rather large and housed the actual learning classes and faculty areas for teachers. Strolling through the halls he looked around trying to make a mental map of the building for future reference. If he was going to be here everyday he had better figure out the layout sooner then later. It was whilst walking through said halls that Tenjinsai managed to bump into an individual he had met before. Someone that he would have rather not seen again in his life. With both parties falling to the ground Kage slowly got himself up and offered a hand to help up his victim. "Hey, why don't you watch where yo....You, I know you. Your that mercenary from the other night. What the hell are you doing here?" Grimacing just from his luck of running into this individual again, Tenjinsai figured he had no option other than to speak to him. "My apologies, I was trying to get a grasp of the buildings layout and didn't see you. As for why I'm here, it's to become a shinigami of course." Tenjinsai stared at the man for a while as he tried to figure out what he was thinking.

The amalgamation of faces that he was making was more then enough to confuse Tenjinsai. It was clear that reading the man's expressions was not going to get him anywhere. However, it seemed there was a general distaste for his existence there. Without another word though the man turned around and began walking down the hall. He signaled for Tenjinsai to follow and darted off to a room on the left end of the hall. Following along behind him as quickly as he could, Tenjinsai walked into the same room and went wide eyed as he looked around. He had just followed the man into a classroom that was filled to the brim with students. There didn't appear to be any empty seats at first glance but he figured there had to have been one. Looking around, Tenjinsai turned his attention back to the man who was now standing behind the desk at the head of the room. "Well don't just stand there gawking at everyone, take a seat. If your here to be a shinigami then your learning will begin right now, in my classroom." Tenjinsai's head nearly exploded when he heard what the shinigami had said. Apparently not only was he a rather powerful fighter, but he was also an instructor here at the academy. It was just Tenjinsai's luck that he managed to not only run into him but end up having him for a teacher because of it. Hopefully he wouldn't purposely try to drive Tenjinsai into the ground just because of the bit of history they acquired yesterday. Sighing, he walked further into the room and began to climb the set of stairs that housed the various levels of seating for the students. It took him a few seconds to spot an empty seat but he eventually found one. Unfortunately it was dead in the middle of the center row placing him right in the center of the classroom. Shaking his head briefly, Tenjinsai made his way through the row he had chosen and excused himself as he passed each student. Taking a seat down in the empty chair he faced forward towards the bottom of the room. He wasn't particularly looking forward to this whole academy deal. Basically all of the students were far younger then him and most likely far less mature then himself too.

The last thing he wanted to deal with was a bunch of cocky, immature students that had nothing better to do then flaunt their new found powers. Hopefully not every student he came across would end up being a dunce. Though seeing what the academy had produced in the past, the odds were not in his favor. Sighing and hanging his head Tenjinsai sat and tried to pay attention to the class. The instructor was giving a lecture on the four shinigami arts, Zankensoki. Each part of the word stood for one of the main shinigami combat arts. First was Zan or Zanjutsu, the art of the blade. Next was Ken or Hakuda, the art of the body. Then there was So or Hohou, the art of movement. Finally, there was Ki or Kidou, the art of magic and incantations. Mastering these four arts was the pinnacle of a shinigami's powers. When one had finally achieved a basic understanding of these arts they were deemed a shinigami and could graduate the academy. Tenjinsai was pretty sure he had already got the whole Zan and Ki aspect down considering his prior training. However, he had never really fought with his hands and he had no idea what Hohou was. Probably more of the secret arts that the shinigami are trained in. Leaning forward in his chair Tenjinsai tried to pay close attention to the lecture. The instructor was explaining things that he already knew and had a good grasp on. It was all just words and nonsense, nothing of any actual value. He wanted to train, to actually acquire the abilities they were talking about. But he knew how these shinigami worked, one must first understand before learning. So he had a pretty good feeling that there wouldn't be much going on for his first day. Sighing and leaning back in his chair Tenjinsai remained uninterested as the teacher prattled on about things he couldn't care less about. Thankfully enough the lecture ended about twenty minutes after he had arrived. The students began to slowly pile out leaving Tenjinsai sitting in the midst of the room waiting for them to leave. He wanted to speak with the instructor in private and see if there was a faster way to do things. He didn't need to hear all of this nonsense, he just wanted to train.

Learning had never been a problem with him. The problem was that everyone around him seemed to move slower then he did. He moved at a fast pace, learning faster then most, and improving his strength at an exponential rate. Perhaps that would be the ace up his sleeve as far as the academy went. Standing up with a loud grunt, he caught the attention of the instructor who was still standing behind their desk. "So, Mr Mercenary Shinigami, what did you think of your first lecture here?" Tenjinsai slowly made his way down from the seating area and towards the front of the class. Approaching the desk, he stood in front of it and placed both of his hands, knuckles down, on the top of it while leaning forward. "I've got to say, it was pretty damn boring. We didn't do a single thing other then sit and listen to you talk about shinigami this and shinigami that. When will we actually start to train and improve our skills? I can't handle all of this sitting around!!" The instructor looked at Tenjinsai for a moment scanning the man up and down before sitting back down behind his desk. "Boring huh, your certainly in a rush to get things moving along. First, let me ask you this question. Why do you think that your more important then any other student that was in here. Why do you think that you should learn before them, hmm?" It was a valid question and one that Tenjinsai wasn't really expecting. He figured that his statement would end in either one of two ways. The man would bend to his will and advance his learning so he could start actually training. Or, he would have tested his abilities to see if he was truly ready to learn. Instead, it seemed he took a different route to see if Tenjinsai actually had a reason for saying what he said. If he wanted to get to the top of the learning curve he would have to prove that he deserved it. "Why do I think that I deserve any better then them. Instead of just telling you, how about I show you just how far beyond these students I am." It was clear that what he had said got the teachers attention. That, and his immediate grasping of his blade brought the man to alarm.

The Beginning of an Adventure Empty Re: The Beginning of an Adventure

Post by Kirito Gekko Wed Nov 26, 2014 10:40 pm

Walking into the classroom next to Tenjinsai, Shimada took a seat near the middle of the class and waited for the class to start. However while sitting there Shimada started to wonder with his thoughts into the past of his days while being in the Rukongai. The days were long and the nights were short, this however wasn't a concern back in the day for him. Training was his main concern as to getting strong enough to defend Rivershire from all of the criminals trying to steal away the goods of the town. At this point in time it has only been five months into Shimada's training to become stronger. So far he has been working on his hand to hand combat skills and his sword skill has also increased to a level the exceeded his skills before. Over the past five months he has overseen the rebuild of the town and defeating any enemies coming here to attack. It was during this time that Shimada also began to see the traffic of Shinigami increasing in this area as well. Seeing Shinigami from all the different Squads of the Gotei Thirteen, one Squad did catch his eye however, Squad Five. Shimada spoke to a group of Shinigami from that Squad and did like how their training was set up. Being balanced fighters in that Squad made them decently strong, wanting to meet the Captain, Shimada spoke to them. However a meeting was too far out of reach at this point but they told him about the Academy. With the information like that they told Shimada to go through the Academy and get brought into the Squad from there. However being at the level he was Shimada told them to give him twelve more months of training before going there. It was agreed upon there with one of the Squad members saying his brother was a teacher there. With arrangements set up Shimada was to be picked up in this town in twelve months time to join the Academy. That meeting changed Shimada's path of choice from that day onward which lead him to become even stronger to join Squad Five and make something of himself. After that meeting things with the criminals began to quiet down due to the traffic of Shinigami passing through. This gave Shimada some peace and quiet to train his skills to whole new levels to get strong enough to even be noticed by the Squad Captain.

Zoning back into the class Shimada then looked down at the teacher trying to teach them about the Gotei Thirteen. Looking out the window Shimada then saw an image of Arturo appear in the trees. This scared him a bit but quickly regained himself and focused on the class. The life as a Human began to flash of the day he met Arturo and died that day not knowing the fate of Arturo. "That day is something that always rings in my memories, I just can't stop thinking about it." The helicopter impacted with a loud boom causing an explosion completely missing the observatory but hitting Shimada dead on. The last thing that was seen from where Shimada was standing was part of his upper torso and his head. They flew towards the ground at a very high speed and hit the ground with a loud thud with parts of the school crashing down around what was left of Shimada. A fire engulfed the school almost trapping the students in the observatory but it wasn't quite to the point it could kill them. The life in Shimada's eyes slowly left him as his body let out a pool of blood out of the stub that was left of his right arm and his lower torso as well. His sword then came flying out of the rubble and landed blade into the ground right next to his now dead body. It was a symbol of respect as if the earth was giving him the greatest honor in his death. "From that undead invasion everything changed, even took my life and sent me here. But what of everyone else." Then remembering something else Shimada remembered that someone else was there with him and Arturo. It was some spikey orange haired guy who showed up to help them fight but disappeared before the helicopter appeared. Perhaps getting permission to return to the Human world would give Shimada the answers he needed. His memories were all messed up at this point but finding that man would grant him the knowledge he needed to move forward.

Shimada could now remember his death from being a human much easier than before since he had finally began to understand who he was and why he was here. There were still many questions left to be answered about the rest of his life, like what he did for a living and why he was sent here for. Everything began to get confused once he arrived in the District Eighty where he protected the town Rivershire. However just as he thought about it another memory began to ring in the back of his mind.

"Sorry that i couldn't get here sooner, Shimada. I promise i shall make it up to you from this point on." Vanishing at a very high speed the stranger carried Shimada off into the distance. He was now dead but this isn't the end of Shimada as a second door of light opened up a new path in life for him. Through this orange haired person he was being given a second chance to live again from the way things were being said. Even though he was unconscious he knew what was going on around him and he knew deep down inside this was only the beginning. He still wondered if he could even finish his work or what will happen to his business since he was now dead. All of his life's work was going to vanish into nothing with him gone from the physical plane. "We are almost there no please hold on a little longer." Shimada managed to open his eyes once again but his vision was very blurry and he could hardly breath. Looking over he saw the face of an orange haired man and spoke very faintly. "I knew... you survived. Glad to see you alive my friend..." After saying all that he could no longer speak due to the lack of air in his lungs and the air being so heavy around him. Ichigo looked over at Shimada with a smile on his face and then looked back forward as the destination was getting close by. "No need to say anything Shimada, just save your strength until we get to Urahara shop."

The name Urahara Shop rang at the end of that memory as Shimada just zoned back into his lessons here, no longer having to think about it he decided to forget about it all. Those memories couldn't be answered now anyway since he had to stay in this world to train and become stronger. "My time in that world is over, it is time to focus on this world and protect it." Turning his attention back to the teacher and opening a book that was titled history on the Soul Society. Reading the beginning of the book was shown with many names that Shimada did not know of at this time. However they were considered the forefathers of the Soul Society's current standings. Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto was the name that rang up the most in the beginning stories that made Shimada interested. The strength of that man and his power is what made the Soul Society the way it is this very day. Looking up Shimada then looked at the teacher as he was finishing his lecture on the Shinigami which lacked so much on the history of it all. It was so dull compared to how the book described the history without the major details involved. Feeling like Shimada wasted his time here he was starting to think he should have gone to a different class during this time. A speed class, sword class or even a hand to hand class would have been better than this. However the lesson did give some of the basic rules on the Shinigami's job in this world. It was to defeat and exercise the Hollows in the world and keep the balance of the worlds and protect the Humans from danger. With that duty in mind it made Shimada feel even more sure about his choice in choosing this path with his life. Grinning with his new found determination Shimada decided that he would devote his full time to training and becoming stronger. Becoming a Captain was his goal before but now he wanted to one up that goal once more. Shimada decided he would aim higher and become the Captain Commander of the Gotei Thirteen and protect everyone. Even protect Tenjinsai, even though Shimada is weaker than him however Shimada wasn't going to stay weak forever. He was going to take advantage of this time here and become even stronger than what he is now.

However sitting through that lecture made Shimada want to fall asleep since it was nothing but about the Shinigami and their duties which wasn't much to learn about at this stage. However this class wasn't too much of a waste for some of the others in this class, this wasn't seen the same way by Tenjinsai. Him and the teacher began to argue with the teacher over the lecture and the fact that they didn't complete any training. Shimada just sat there with his eyes closed shaking his head at such an argument over nothing. "It seems like no matter where I go people fight against each other, fine I'm not getting involved though." Shimada was clearly against this fight between Tenjinsai and this Teacher who was apparently new. This was a good chance to see Tenjinsai's strength and to see if he was right about the Bushinji Clan having the strongest power in this land. In this moment it is Shimada's chance to see what the true power of this famous clan really measures to.

The Beginning of an Adventure Empty Re: The Beginning of an Adventure

Post by Tenjinsai Bushinji Fri Nov 28, 2014 4:26 am

With the grip on his blade tightening a little membrane in the back of Tenjinsai's head snapped. It was as if he had become a different person all of a sudden from the usual humble and laid back individual that he was. He had never been so aggressive before but perhaps all of the pent up anger from his time wandering was being released finally. It was the first time he had been enticed to a battle for the first time in a while. His blade had not been drawn for the last ten years and he wasn't sure how well he would be able to handle it now. But his skills were still there, he knew this, he was stronger then most and it was slowly becoming apparent to him after spending only a day or two in the academy. Now was his chance to actually prove it, perhaps that was why he was so antsy. He came here to prove to himself he could become a great shinigami, but also to prove it to his family and most importantly, his father. The battle in his mind did not wage long until he tightened his grip on the blade further and drew it from its sheath. He had a feeling in the back of his head that this might not be the best of ideas, but he was already one foot in the hole.

At this point, it was best if he just went ahead and dived in. The only real curiousity, or perhaps worry, was how strong his teacher turned opponent was going to be. "Hmm, well I certainly didn't peg you for the stupid type. Either that, or perhaps you are just incredibly brave. Either way, its your funeral my friend. At least give me your name before I teach you your place." Raising an eyebrow it became clear that the teacher was more then confident in his own abilities. He could either take this as a sign of cockiness, or a true understanding of his own powers against Tenjinsai's. If the latter was indeed the case then he was in for one hell of a bumpy ride. Taking a deep breath and stealing his will, Tenjinsai dropped into his usual combat stance and perpared to introduce himself knowing that once he did, the battle would start. "My name is Tenjinsai Bushinji, second son of the Bushinji Clan. It is a pleasure to do battle with you." With his introduction Tenjinsai lunged forward ready to make the first move. Slashing vertically downwards at the teacher he was not shocked to find his targets blade out already blocking his attack. "So you hail from the Bushinji Clan do you, then you certainly should be a challenge. Though I never would have pegged a vagrant like you for nobility, strange world that we live in now I suppose."

Gritting his teeth at the teachers comment, Tenjinsai allowed his reiatsu to flare outward as he struck at the teacher with a three slash combination. He hated when people mentioned the word nobility around him. Granted, he knew being born into the family he had been meant it was something he had to expect. He was the son of one of the four great noble houses, his surname was well known throughout the entirety of the Soul Society. But he didnt like it being placed on him like it was some kind of label. He was just a man, a man that was fortunate to be born into a powerful family, nothing more. Why was he more important then someone else just like him just because he had that luck. The great men throughout history that had led the Seireitei, most of them did not come from nobility. In fact, the majority of them were simply powerful and violent criminals that had seized power. It wasn't until over time that they came to protect the Seireitei instead of rule over it. So why was it that now, nobility was something that was of the greatest importance in a realm that was founded by criminals.

He would never be able to understand it, and he honestly did not care to. Right now he shouldn't have even been thinking of such things. He was in the middle of a battle and his mind needed to be focused on that. Bringing his mind back to full focus on the target in front of him, he locked blades with his opponent and the two clashed back and forth. Steel clashed and sparks flew as their blades met one another time and time again. It was strange but Tenjinsai almost began to feel as though he was irritating the instructor now. Though his opponents physical strength was greater then his own, which he could clearly read through the force of their blades, his movements could easily keep up with him. Every swing of his blade was easily read by Tenjinsai and countered in only a moment. Granted he had to be careful of where he positioned himself when he parried so as to not be overpowered. But beside that fact alone, he was holding his own against an individual who had graduated from the academy and was a full fledged shinigami.

Tenjinsai slid back as he continued to try and hold the teacher off but his efforts were proving less and less effective as the fight continued on. Tenjinsai had an idea while he was continuing to fight his teacher. Sliding off to the right he moved his blade out of the way making the teacher stumbled forward from the amount of force he was exerting. Tenjinsai then brought his blade up and swung downwards towards the teachers back. He managed to land the strike hitting the teacher right across the top of his back with the blade. Unfortunately the strike didn't seem to faze him all that match as the teacher turned and swung again at Tenjinsai. Moving out of the way Tenjinsai tripped and fell backwards onto the mat from his spastic dodge movement. "Your gonna have to do better then that Bushinji. You may have gotten stronger but your not strong enough to be good enough by my standards. You better start pulling all the stops or you'll never be anything around here." Tenjinsai got up and was starting to get a little angry. The teachers words stung him where he was most vulnerable, his pride. Tenjinsai had always prided himself on his skill and strength.

Being insulted in both categories was an easy button to press for him. He tried to control himself as he went at the teacher with another swing this time aimed at the top right side of his chest. The swing was blocked again by the teacher who pushed it away and then followed through with a downward strike at Tenjinsai. The strike hit him right on his left shoulder next to his neck. The hit caused Tenjinsai to black out for a second and fall to the ground. The pain was unimaginable as he stumbled to get up. The strike disoriented him and he had a hard time steadying himself at first. The teacher however wasn't going to let up and came swinging at Tenjinsai again this time aiming at the right side of his abdomen and side. The blade struck Tenkai hard once again knocking him aside on the mat. Tenjinsai began to cough wildly as he had gotten the wind knocked out of him from the hit. Disoriented and short of breath Tenkai could barely managed to move let alone get up. Despite that he stumbled onto his hands and knees and slowly began to stand up. His stance was shaky at best and he ran forward at the teacher not entirely sure at what he was doing.

"Well this is just sad. You can barely stand and yet your going to come running at me. I wouldn't even call that running, it looks more like stumbling around like an idiot. Maybe I need to talk with Captain Bushinji about you. If this is all you have to offer then you definitely aren't worthy of his attention at all." That was the straw that made him snap. Tenjinsai lost it right there and rushed at his teacher with everything he had. He hated being insulted and being called weak and he wouldn't stand for it. He swung downwards at the teacher with everything in him but his blade was blocked by the teacher once again. However his strike was considerably more powerful thanks to him being as angry as his was. Backing away Tenjinsai rushed forward again and swung at the teachers left side with a horizontal strike. The blade struck hard causing the teacher to flinch a bit before swinging at Tenjinsai's head. The teachers blade hit hard and knocked Tenjinsai down to the floor causing him to black out for a few seconds again.

When he came to he saw the teacher standing over him staring down at him. "Well it seemed my little plan worked. I was trying to get you angry this entire time. You definitely do have a lot more in you, its just getting you to use it is the problem. Eventually you will tap into that power but for now you need to work on getting stronger and even learning how to use your power. As of now your just recklessly swinging at your opponent and trying to hit them as hard as you can. Though it is a good basis for beginners it doesn't work against more skilled opponents. You need to improve your fighting techniques and fast. You should try some practice after your daily classes. You can come in here and practice your techniques so your not a bumbling idiot." Tenjinsai just nodded as everything around him was still slowly spinning. He started to get up slowly and then was yanked to his feet by the teacher. The teacher brushed him off and then gave him a firm pat on the back causing Tenjinsai to stumble forward.

"You're quite good Bushinji boy, better then any student I've ever dealt with in this academy. You're aren't just naturally talented either, you've been trained. I don't know who trained you, but they had some experience with combat for you to have the skills with a blade you do." Tenjinsai couldn't help but smirk slightly at the teacher mentioning his skills with a blade. It was true that he had been taught formally, though not for any extended period of time or to any extreme level. But his brother had taught him the basics of swordsmanship and his career while wandering definitely let him expand upon it further. "Yes, I was indeed taught formally, though not for an extended period of time. My brother Tsunkai was my instructor in the art of Zanjutsu." The teacher laughed to himself as he placed his blade back into its sheath. Apparently the battle had ended even though it didn't feel like it did. "I see, so Tsunkai was your instructor. That would explain your skill with a blade, though I'm sure you would be much better if your father had taught you. He is one of the most skilled swordsman I've ever laid eyes on." Tenjinsai smiled weakly at the comment and replaced his blade into its sheath.

He had grown tired of everyone commenting on the abilities of his family, especially his father. They deserved the praise, they truly did, they were outstanding shinigami even when compared to the shinigami of lore. But he didn't need to be reminded of it every step of his journey. He was practically living in the shadow of his father and brother no matter where he went. Looking down at the ground he sighed softly before looking back up at the instructor with a light smile upon his face. "Yes, I've been told that many times. His skill is rather legendary, but I don't believe it to be too fluffed up. I've seen my father and brother spar several times, its rather frightening to see just how strong the two of them are. Even though I always knew he was just toying with my brother as well, the power they generated was astounding. If ever I was to see the full extent of my fathers power I would not know what to do." Chuckling to himself he scratched his cheek while looking up at the ceiling. "Though knowing how strong he is I probably wouldn't be able to move anyway if I ever saw his full strength. I imagine his reiatsu to be rather crushing as he is a Captain after all." Looking back down the teacher was smiling lightly before turning around and heading to the front of the class.

After he stood before the class he looked back over to the two students who were standing in front of the door. "Tenjinsai, I see no reason to keep you here. You have displayed abilities that are amongst the Officers of the Gotei Thirteen. There are individuals who have graduated from the academy that show less power then you. Ill send word ahead that you will be going to take the exams. I see no reason for you to fail them, unless you do so on purpose. Now go on, youngest of the Bushinji, create history like the rest of your family." Even though the last sentence was meant as a compliment to him, it still felt like a dagger had been driven into his chest. Everything that was said was true, but he still never liked to hear it. His family this, his family that, it was the only thing that ever was spouted around him. It was beginning to weigh on him more and more as time went on. At least though he would hopefully not have to hear about it once he started making a name for himself. Stop comparing him to his brother and father and instead start saying how great he was. Thats all that Tenjinsai ever wanted in life, ever since he had been dejected from his home, recognition and respect. It was the most important thing to him in life. Perhaps now he would get the opportunity since he had just been given a pass on the academy.

He was surprised it was that easy as well, he had been in the academy for two whole days and was already being given permission to take the exams. He had only participated in a single class as well, and only sat in for a single lecture. Perhaps he really was destined for greatness after all, just like the rest of his family. A wounding comment come back time and time again just to prove itself true in the end. The blood that flowed through his veins could change the world, all he had to do was exercise it. Shrugging softly, he turned to exit the room and remember that Shimada had been standing their the entire time. "Well it appears that I am being allowed to take the exams Shimada, perhaps our time of friendship will be more brief then I had anticipated. Though perhaps it does not have to be, theres no need to take the exams just yet. Though, I imagine you would like to sit in on the class and actually learn. I was going to suggest heading to the rukongai and getting a drink but, perhaps not. It's up to you my friend." Shrugging, Tenjinsai began to exit the classroom with nothing but a faint wave being given to those who were seated within. He did honestly hope that Shimada would follow along behind him, but for some reason he truly did not believe that it would be so. He had a feeling he was about to be wandering all alone once again. It was the life he had always led and he was comfortable with it, perhaps it was for the best.

The Beginning of an Adventure Empty Re: The Beginning of an Adventure

Post by Kirito Gekko Tue Dec 02, 2014 6:59 am

Looking behind him he watched as Tenjinsai walk off into the distance gaining a promotion to a member of the Gotei thirteen. Tenjinsai then offered Shimada the chance to join him for a drink in the Rukongai and looking at the teacher Shimada knew this was a waste. Beginning to turn to follow Tenjinsai a barrier was then erected blocking the path to follow Tenjinsai. Looking behind him Shimada saw the teacher activating a kido barrier which made Shimada learn the true identity of the teacher. This man was part of the Court Guard Squads since this was a barrier of a higher caliper. "So tell me which squad do you belong to? Answer me or else I will be forced to put you down." The teacher then laughed as he then pulled out his sword and pointed it at Shimada with full intent to kill. Keeping his eye on the teacher Shimada drew out his sword and prepared to counter this man. "Tenjinsai go on ahead of me. Go to District 80 Zaraki in the town of Rivershire, once there give a notice to Edgar saying you are my personal guest. They will give you drinks and food, no matter what you want. I wont be too far behind you." The teacher then stood there and laughed at Shimada for even thinking he could stand up to him. Using some speed technique the teacher appeared before Shimada within a split second and slashed his sword. Using his quick reflexes Shimada quickly raised his sword and blocked the attack. The force from the teachers spiritual pressure was on a level that even Shimada could barely stand against. "As an Academy brat you seem to have quite the bit of the power, it does explain how you managed to defeat my brothers." That statement shocked Shimada to the point that made him realize who this teacher was. Pushing the teacher back with his sword Shimada gained some ground on the teacher. "So those who kept attacking Rivershire were from your family. Explains why that one opponent was a Shinigami. So they are your brothers, explains everything thus far. So tell me where did the real teacher go? What did you do with him?"

This was the start of the major struggle between Shimada's devotion to justice and this man's criminal activities against the Soul Society. This was a matter that had to be settled here and now, especially since it would endanger the entire Soul Society eventually. "The original teacher is just fine, he is locked away in a special place. He shall return after I am done with you." With that being said Shimada prepared for a fight since he knew this wasn't going to end well if he didn't fight back. Charging in at the shinigami Shimada swung his sword at him with all of his might. Pushing the man back down toward the teacher's desk he knew that he could beat this guy. "You're not much of a combat type are you? At least with a sword your skills are novice at best. So that is why your brothers did all the fighting while you hid behind your squad like a coward." Charging forward Shimada spun around and struck the man with his full force pushing him back even further. By using his knowledge on sword play, Shimada was capable of taking this guy on with some difficulty but not so much that he would lose. This man and his family was nothing but a bunch of criminals and had to be brought to justice. Finally after regaining some ground the man finally spoke up to Shimada on the whole thing. "I hid behind no one, I always left it up to my stupid family to deal with Rukongai related things while I stayed here and covered for them. I was the only one capable of making the cut into a squad, the others lacked all the skills needed. So don't you dare downsize me while only being an Academy Student that you are!" The two charged in at each other at a very fast rate and clashed in the center of the room causing sparks to fly off the swords. The exchange between them got intense as they began to push against each other that made their spiritual pressure run wild. The barrier on the outside of the building began to quiver from it being only a low level barrier. With this last clash the two of them jumped back and regained their footing to charge once more.

"I admit you are very skilled at using a sword, I shall hand you that much. However standing up to me any other way, you shall lose, boy." Shimada took no notice to his taunts as he began to attack him and end this right here and now in this very classroom. Pushing his rigth foot forward Shimada charged at the man with all of his power and the man followed in the sameway. As they clashed in the center Shimada's sword was thrown into the wall by the door and the man's was thrown and stuck into the ceiling with the two of them jumping back for standing ground. "Looks like it is hand to hand to finish this fight, prepare yourself you impostor of a teacher, I shall end this now." The man tried to run up the wall to grab his sword but Shimada jumped in front of him and kicked him back to the ground. "So what are you afraid to fight me hand to hand now? Or are you just that afraid of me in general." Shimada raised his hands into a fighting position and faced towards the man with his full intent to kill. Charging in at him, Shimada raised his fist to the man's face and prepared to punch him into the wall behind him. Just as his fist got close the man raised up his arm and blocked it within a split second and held Shimada there. "Very well, since you seem to be so confident about your skills show me what you got." The two entered a lock with both trying to push against the other with all of their force to finally end this dispute once and for all.

During the battle lock of Shimada and the imposter, the two began to feel each other’s force of their brute strength. Finally Shimada raised his right leg and used his knee to hit the man in the gut and jumped back to regain his ground. “You are strong even in hand to hand, I guess this is the power of a squad member. I must try harder.” Determined to win Shimada was willing to use all of his strength to finally end this quickly. With this guy standing in his way he couldn’t train or get the lessons he needed to join the Squads. Giving it his all Shimada charged forward and prepared to throw a punch with his right arm. As soon as his fist got close to the man’s face, the man smiled and moved his left foot and moved in such a quick manner out of the way. With a shocked look on his face Shimada stopped and looked around for the man. “You think you are so strong but yet you can’t even use a simple Shunpo. You really are weak!” Suddenly the man appeared to Shimada’s right and punched him in the cheek. The punch sent him flying into a row of desks and came to a rest against the wall which had a small hole in it now. Looking up at the man with all of his hatred Shimada tried to get back up. However within that split instant the man used Shunpo again and appeared in front of Shimada. Grabbing onto Shimada’s shirt, the man lifted him off the ground and threw him across the room again. “You really are pathetic Shimada Kamashi! You can’t even defeat me an Unseated Officer of Squad Ten!” Using his left hand Shimada grabbed onto a corner of a desk and regained his footing. Standing back up straight he then looked over at the man and spoke to this man before him. “You say I’m weak, you say I’m pathetic, yet you are the one who used your family to try and take over the Rukongai! If anything you are the coward, pathetic piece of crap that has to take on the weak in order to feel stronger about yourself!”

Moving at his fastest speed Shimada charged at the man and threw a punch at him only for the man to use shunpo at the last second. However being able to predict where he was due to the limited paths he could take Shimada reached out and grabbed the man’s shirt. Pulling the man in close Shimada looked him right in the eye and told him what he thought. “I may not be the strongest in the world, but I’m going to use every breath in my body taking down scum like you until there is pure justice in this world!” Pulling his other fist back he then began to repeatedly hit the man in the face then just before finishing the attack Shimada snapped the man’s left leg and then threw him across the room. Standing tall and strong, Shimada prepared to finish this fight and possibly send this man into prison for his crimes. This was the only way to make sure the man couldn’t use his shunpo anymore making him an easier target. “Now are you done with the fighting? If so I can send you to prison now and put an end to everything before it goes on any farther hurting innocent people.” Walking towards the man Shimada prepared for anything to happen at this point since anything could really happen. Stepping overlooking the man he then looked down at him and observed him for the moment. “You may have been a Squad member of Squad Ten but that means little if you do not train for what is true in the world. Now just lay there in defeat until someone comes to arrest you.” Shimada began to walk away as the man reached out and grabbed Shimada’s leg and tried to stop him from leaving. “I cannot be defeated here, not until I get vengeance for my family. You tarnished our name, I cannot allow you to leave here alive!” The man then slowly rose to his feet and stood on his right leg and left his other leg limb since it was broken and couldn’t be used anymore. Getting into a battle stance he then tried to throw some punches at Shimada. Pushing each punch away like as if it was a hot knife on butter Shimada just sighed and closed his eyes.

Throwing a single punch Shimada sent the man back to the ground with a loud thud and just looked down at him with a disappointed look. “It wasn’t me who tarnished you family name, it was you all who did. Causing chaos and murdering many innocent people is what tarnished your name. As far as I’m concerned it has been tarnished long before I even arrived.” Shimada then went to his sword and pulled it out of where it was stuck and placed it back in its sheath then stood at the barrier. Placing his hand on the barrier it was then released and a shinigami appeared at the doorway and spoke to Shimada. "Hello, I am Kaname, I’m the tenth seat of Squad two. We are looking for Mark Sarusasuke.” Lifting his arm he then pointed at Mark who was laying in defeat on the floor of the classroom. Beginning to walk out, Kaname stopped Shimada and prepared to speak to him. “You did well here, however can you come with me to see my Captain so we can get a full report on what happened here?” Shimada then turned to Kaname thinking about what to do next. “Alright, I shall come with you. Take me to your Captain and I shall give the full story while I’m there.” Standing there he watched as other Shinigami came and took Mark away with his sword in hand. Shimada was proud that he was able to put an end to most of the issue that has been happening lately. With Mark’s defeat Shimada could rest a little easier about Rivershire for the time being which was a huge weight off his chest, now his main concern was reporting to the Captain of Squad Two. “Follow me, I shall get you to my Captain right away. This way we can end this entire situation for good.” Following Kaname, Shimada knew that this was going to be the last part of all this. Things seemed to be much brighter now, with Mark going to prison and his brothers dead things were now going to be much more peaceful. Smiling with some true peace in mind, Shimada entered the Squad area as he headed toward the Squad Two Barracks.
